Rumors from iMore are stating that the next gen iphone will be announced on September 12th and will be available to pre-order on that same date. The first shipment will be on September 21st, however this will be in the US only and everywhere outside of the US will get their shipment on October 5th.

I'm pretty sure the dates of September 12th announcement and September 21st release will be correct however I'm not sure about the only in the US part as it just doesn't seem like something Apple would do considering they've never done it exclusively in the US first anytime before with any of their products.

Although the US release first is only a rumor, iMore have been known to be very accurate with their predictions so I don't know what to expect.

I'm hoping they're wrong this time as I don't want to have to wait for an extra 2 weeks for mine ;(
