Yes, I am a pc "noob" I don't know what CPU is or ram or whatever. I have been trying to educate myself though. So, if there's any kind soul on this site that could help me out. I'm trying to build a gaming PC but I'm finding it very difficult to pick the correct parts exc... From my understanding Intel is the way to go ? I really don't know what I'm doing so can someone "build" me a PC with these specs.

Details:
- Max budget- $1000
- Games- BF3, Skyrim, exc
- Cool Case
- Intel ?

That's really it

Please if your not gona help me out then just don't post.

If this is in the wrong section please tell me and I'll move it.

- Thanks

here, check this one out: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

This is where I learned how to build my computer, it's relatively easy. Also, for a gaming rig, don't go with the i7, stick with the i5, the only difference is hyperthreading for the i7, and most games can't take advantage of it.

If you know what you're doing, probably 45 minutes, but you don't. For a complete and utter n00b, it should take no longer than 2 and a half hours.

depends what parts you choose, i'd say you could go about 1-2 years without needing an upgrade to move along with the heavy gpu/cpu needs of future games.

He was asking how long the PC will last, not how long it takes to build.

That all depends on you. If you want to always play the latest games on ultra, you're going to need to upgrade in the future.
