Laternentrger was the codename of a series of experiments that the Germans did during World War 2.
"Die Glocke" means "The Bell" in German, it is named that because of the shape of the mysterious object, approximately 9 ft. in diameter and 12-15 ft. tall. Some people think it was made from depleted uranium. Exactly where this was located, is unknown. But there are some predictions it was at a secret research base near the Polish border.

Here is a sketch of what Die Glocke looked like

It was comprised of two counter-rotating cylinders, rotating a purplish liquid-metallic looking substance code-named "Xerum 525" at high speeds. Xerum 525 was described to be extremely radioactive, and was a odd purple colour The metallic liquid was stored in thermos like flasks encased in lead. Hitler was a superstitious man, he was often known to fascinate about the powers of crystal healing, and how he could use these "powers" to use to his own advantage; to create a "wunderwaffe" or "wonder-weapon".

*NOTE Xerum 525 could of been Red Mercury, or something similar.

Operation:

Scientist sat 200 meters away from it when it was being tested, and where shielded by rocks. Jews where then sent in to clean everything. Everything that was contaminated was thrown in a huge furnace, clothes, the padding in the test room, everything. So whatever they where doing was extremely dangerous, and they knew it was.

They passed currents through the liquid, while spinning it at extremely high speeds.

First hand accounts say that when it was operated, it stopped after 2 minuets and gave out strong radiation and electromagnetic fields, and some "unknown" forces (not to sure what "unknown forces" means, it was quoted out of a book written on the subject).
A HUGE amount of electricity was used to rotate Die Glocke.

"...Rapid spinning of two cylinders in opposite directions. A local dam was used to generate electrical power to power up the Lanternholder (which means lantern)"

-The reason it's called lantern is because the whole thing lightened up with a violet glow.

Effects:

On the first experiment, several scientist died; how they did it not said, but they just died. The tests where mainly on plants and animals, it is reported that a few minuets after the test the animals/plants a strange crystalline substance invaded animal tissue, destroying life. Plants thus exposed lost all their chlorophyll, turning deathly white in several hours.

Some scientist and engineers complained about sleep problems, nerve problems, loss of balance and memory and a permanent "odd metallic taste" in their mouths.

Purpose:

They where trying to generate a torsion field. If you generate a torsion field of sufficient magnitude the theory says you can bend the four dimensions of space around the generator. When you bend space, you also bend time, so they where trying to build a time machine.

Another theory is that they where trying to build a Wunderwaffe (wonder-weapon) but as the Germans knew that defeat was coming closer, so they might of changed the project to try and manipulate time.

Importance:

I personally believe that this project was of great importance, in 1945 all scientist or anyone who knew about it was hunted down and killed by the SS. The Bell suddenly diapeared from history, the whole project site was suddenly gone. It is believed that it was transported to: Base 211 in Neu Schwabenland, Antarctica by U-BOAT.

This metal structure was found near the site

It was still there, and when it was found it was newly built. So when the nazis built it they didn't have time to take it down. Die Glocke was going to be placed in the middle of the "henge" of iron pillars, for some sort of ritual maybe? Or they perfected it, and this would be the ultimate test?

I think that they managed to get some positive results, and didn't want the allies to have this sort of technology. So they got rid of it completely.

Other Theories:

That they used the steel structure to contact a aliens, by performing some sort of ritual, and then the aliens showed them how to use this technology.

Stonehenge is very similar to the iron structure

About 3 miles away from stonehenge a wooden version was built, just before stonehenge was erected they might of summoned some sort of beings to show them how to carve the rocks and hoist them up to make stonehenge. As it is humanly impossible to build that using the tools of the time.

Another structure exactly the same design of Stonehenge was found under Lake Michigan.

Other:

In case you didn't know, the World at War zombie map: "Der Riese" is based off this.
*NOTE: Anything in the storyline of Der Riese zombie map is not factual.
-just to make it clear.

Thanks for reading, I researched about this a long time ago, and decided to create a topic about it. All information is from memory.

I rushed this so I might of missed out a lot of things, and there will be a lot of typos, forgive me please.

If you have anything to add, PM me.

I've seen that metal structure in a documentary before but I couldn't remember where from.

I think it was some kind of flying machine.

The metal structure might also be linked to Stone Henge? Maybe these were sites where aliens landed and this is how they marked them?

Yea I was going to mention aliens in the Other Theories section.

It could be linked to stone henge.. But like stone henge, they might of been both rituals to summon them?

The time machine could support this

Added a theory, anyone think of any other ones?

This is going straight off the top of my head and I barely remember the story but isn't there a garden where the stones have been lifted and people said It was by an old man who never let anyone in his home.
So they are trying to figure out how he managed to lift these stones? Some say he used a levitation machine...? Might be linked.

Edit:

Found it, it's Coral Castle.
Here's the link to some pictures.

Wow, that's really wierd. When I was looking at sources about Die Glocke, alot of people mention anti-gravity machine, could there be some link here?

One of his quotes its:

"I understand the laws of weight and leverage and I know the secrets of the people who built the pyramids (being those at the site at Giza in Egypt)."

He also was obsessed with magnetism, and that also links into Die Glocke, or am I just a paranoid weirdo?

Absolutely not paranoid
He thought there is magnetism in every object connected to magnets in the Earth.
Perhaps he found a way to reverse the magnetism of objects in order for them to float.
Maybe everything is based off of magnetism? What if the Nazi's worked this out.
The time scale is also very small between them.
They could have worked it out from his notes?

He was building that for someone he loved, but she never showed up. There was a picture taken of the guy that created that and it showed a wooden tripod (I am assuming for leverage/a pully system.) There was a black box attached to the top of it that no one has yet to find. People are assuming that was the anti-gravity machine. The man who created that also said he knows the secret of the Egyptians and how they created the pyramids. It's a very interesting story (to me at least lol.)

Some of this seems plausible but I doubt they were making a time machine.
It's impossible by the laws of pretty much everything to go back in time.

I know, but they could of been trying to do something of the sort. Hitler was a superstitious man, Oh well the only person who would know is Hans Kammler, but he dies 72 years ago.
