I think I "soft bricked" my HTC Inspire, I did some research and I think this is what it is. If not, maybe someone could tell me what it is?
I wanted to root it with Ace Hacks Kit but it said I needed to downgrade my firmware, or that it couldn't root with that version. (I did a software update recently, updating to 2.3.5 I believe. It was the last supported version)
So I tried downgrading my version and now it's stuck at the white boot screen with the green letters saying "HTC" I can boot into HBOOT but trying to use recovery mode or anything it just goes back to that screen.
Even when I charge it, when I unplug it stays at the charge screen with the battery and the light stays on and either I have to do a battery pull or wait for it to die out.
Is there any way to fix it or do I need to call AT&T and get a new one?
