Buy a 7770.

Don't buy a 7770, buy a 6850, same price, higher performance.

No, you're an idiot.

LOL those benchmarks prove me right idiot. There are like two games on that list that it does better in.

And a better 3D mark score.

It's obvious you did not click the link.

Synthetic benchmarks are dumb and show nothing.

The 6850 is more expensive and has the same performance.

You fail to realize driver updates = better performance and optimization.

I'm aware of the drivers as I have 7970s and I have the drivers. It's game optimizations and fixes mostly to the driver problems they've been having. I'm not saying it's a huge difference, you're going to get a little more bang for your buck with the 6850. Either way it's not our decision.

It's not a huge difference but it practically ties the two cards together except the 7770 uses less power and is generally cheaper as seen above therefore making it a better bang for your buck.

oh my gawd, it takes 70 more watts,
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

and you should probably use this if you're so concerned and need to calculate how many watts you need Mr Generation

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

70 watts or 200 watts, it still ads to the card when looking to buy it.

PSU calculators are inaccurate just like PC game calculators.

I'm sure Newegg's PSU calculator is completely off. lol.

anyways, poster, unless you have a 400 watt power supply, I'd go with the 6850. The 7770 has some known issues, a lot actually, including the driver not working (it's a hardware issue) on a lot of cards. I have a 7770 next to me, when I used it it would just up to 300 W TDP randomly and the card stopped working. It's a really inconsistent card.

You make it seem just because it's on their website it has to be top notch in which you're misinformed. The end result is off / overkill to cover up for the amount of crap PSU's out there on Newegg its self since it can't out put 'X' wattage at 'X' load at 'X' temp.

You have no proof that you own the card / no proof of the problems ( if there are any, which I have never heard of ).

The 7770 is the better buy and you simply can't get your head around that. If you do have the card and somehow got a bad card, it does not mean every other card is going to be like that. Not every product off of the manufacturing line is going to be perfect.

You linked to a thread about a 6670. Also, it's not a hardware problem - a hardware problem would be overheating / randomly shutting off, not a software driver issue.

Also, when I had my GTX 560 ti I had the same problem, turned out it was a stick of DOA RAM that needed to be replaced.
