This, it is just the boring process, of putting down dirt in water so you plant one sugarcane on each block, this is anything but hard to do, so why would we tell you what we think about something that is one of the most easy things to do in game except making 1x1 towers... this is just an over glorified, unnecessary, space taker that really has no purpose other than to give you an unneeded amount of paper/books/bookcases...
I get what you're saying but like he/she said they were bored so they decided to make a massive sugar cane farm. *shrug*
I could still think of 100 other things to do rather than this when I am bored, such as, explore, build a huge [insert building name here], find ores, and many more.
Yeah I guess so but what if this guy likes farming and wanted to do some farming stuff and/or likes to be rich in resources, like sugarcane.
I did think of one thing that this "could" be useful for if you are into this thing, leaderboards, it would be the thing to put you over the top in the farming leaderboards. Ya and I see what your saying so, it's his time but it would not be how I would spend my free time.

Yeah exactly, some people wanna do this but I don't. I'm not trying to say "oh yeah its fun and like everyone should do this!" I just mean like its a way to spend some time and collect resources in the process.

I have done one of these awell, the point in doing it is that when we get trading and emeralds, we can trade with a librarian villager (paper for emeralds) then swap the emeralds for things like bottles of enchanting and diamond pickaxes
