is the only way to update games via a jtag to download updates on retail then transfer accross and patch the .xex?

With freestyle dash you can download title updates, and choose which one you'd like to use.

so do i download via freestyle dash or just when prompted by the xbox...? if through freestyle how do i go about that?

title updates have nothing to do with updating your xbox so I don't see why not or you can just put them in the cache to begin with

Thats not an issue simple research will answer how to get freestyle dash the issue how to use it to get updates?
