I don't mind them. Some of the games they host are quite fun. And at the end of the day, you can always leave the game and find another one if you dont like it.

Modding and hacking are two completely different things, and you clearly have no clue about either.
I personally think that hacking just ruins games.

To be honest, hackers make the product better, plus it shows the developers they care. If no one is trying to hack your game/product, it means no one cares enough. Also, when a hacker finds an exploit, it encourages the developer/creator to find a way to patch that. In a sense, hackers are almost like game testers. They find bugs which the developers try to fix. In additon, they can also add to the product/game. For example, when hackers hacked the iPhone and introduced jailbreaking, a lot of features were able to be added. Eventually, Apple decided to copy some of these ideas that the hackers brought to the table.

Yes, you can say that hackers ruin the game, and if they use their hacks to win, then yes, they do. However, using their hacks for fun does no harm to anybody and in the end, they help the game. Hackers and developers should work together to solve the game's/product's problems, and some of them actually have some original ideas that should be implemented. Instead of putting down hackers, they should try to work with them instead.

There are good hackers then there are bad.

Good hackers are people who can actually get paid to hack into company then tell the company how they did it. I also like cod hackers because most of them do not lock the game so you are able to leave.

Bad hackers are the worst, most of them have no reason to hack peoples accounts scam steal...

I would like to do an ethical hacking course at uni though

Your referring to modding...
But either way, hackers and modders actually help many industries out there. Without them, developers wouldn't be influenced to make new things in games and websites. A lot of hackers actually report an error in codes to the developer so they can fix it:P

Hacking is what makes the game more fun in many respects, as it allows users to modify the game and become more engaged and connected in their experiences with the game. As long as hacking doesn't invade all matchmaking lobbies and people who are opposed to hacking are able to play undisturbed by it, then I see nothing wrong with user modifications to the gameplay.

Well Whitehat is the good type of hacking (ex. Exploiting websites and contacting them to fix the bugs)
And then there is Blackhat (ex. Stealing accounts, Destroying websites, etc.)
