There is now way on earth you need that graphics card. It is not intended for general gamers it is intended for hardcore rendering and such. Do not waste your money get either a 670 at the most or just a good old 560ti which pretty much meets everyones needs!

I don't need it, I want it. I want a steady 60+ FPS rate on games like BF3 and Skyrim maxed out with graphical/texture mods on a 2560x1440 monitor. I may also record games in the future. I know this will work wonders for me, and I can afford it, so why not ?

You supposedly have a lot of money, and you refuse to take advice on several accounts.
Simply "wanting" things comes into the picture when you have ~5k to spend in my book. Quite honestly I feel like you're what I call a man of numbers. You could care less about bang for buck, it is totally irrelevant to you. Big numbers = buy.Whoever actually plays games on 2560x1440 needs to grow a pair and be happy at 1920x1080, who doesnt like to get the most frames as possible at optimal resolutions? The only excuse for that is anything in quad-SLI I suppose.
It was too expensive in the end? You said you had $3500, did it just magically disappear? I guess so.
By the way, you need a pump and water blocks for your CPU or anything else you plan on adding to your loop.
Post pics if you do actually ever order and build a pc.

How am I not serious? Because I lost some money? I didn't mean to waste anyone's time, and I don't think you should be speaking for other people. If r00t is bothered by this, he can tell me himself. I don't believe I truly wasted his time, anyways. I have learned a ton from him, and almost all of the advice he gave me still applies. I am thankful to him, and you need to let him speak for himself.

I don't quite see your point about "wanting things". Of course I only want a gaming PC. I do not NEED a gaming PC, and neither does anyone else. I want a 2560x1440 monitor because it looks better, simple as that. I don't really understand your remark about quad SLI either.

I have personal reasons for not being able to afford a monster setup anymore. I'd honestly rather not tell you, because I have a feeling you would just say I am begging for attention or something along those lines.

Yes, I know about water blocks, fittings, tubing, and all of that, I just don't know what are considered the best brands, so I'm asking for some help and opinions.

I will post pictures of my finished build if I feel like it. I have nothing to prove to you.

I just don't see your problem with me asking for help on this. I've seen you ask people for proof about systems they claim they bought, when they are just asking for opinions on how good their build is. I don't like your attitude, and I don't think many other people do either.

Lower the hdd 3TB is wa to much i have half that and its perfect, get 8 gb RAM not 16 which is too much and get a better cpu with the additional money

The 3TB HDD is just too good of a deal to pass up. It's only $40 more than a standard 1TB HDD. You would generally be right about the RAM, but it's so cheap I can easily afford it. I also believe the i5 will be fine for me. I don't need hyper threading. Thanks for the input.

You shouldn't build a water cooled rig, in less you have the know how... by the looks of it you don't even know what kind of equipment you need to water cool your rig. especially on the graphics card side of things, if you're really down for getting a water cooled rig, by a pre-build water cooled machine from like iBuypower or NCIX or something like that

I want to learn though. Everyone starts somewhere, which is why I'm asking for some help. What do you mean about the graphics card? That card is made for water cooling, from what I understand.
