Guys, he is going off to college and has already stated that he needs a LAPTOP. So instead of saying its a stupid decision to buy a laptop, lets help him by convincing him that he should look for something that doesn't have a big brand name like Alienware, or Origin. That way he gets the best laptop he can get for his money and not get ripped off.

I recommended he get a laptop. One that's actually suitable to use in a college environment.
