Imply wrote I had a quick question about which processor would be better for gaming while recording.
AMD Option: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Intel Option: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Regardless of how many cores the AMD processor has, you will get more speed and life from the Intel processor

The better choices would be the AMD Phenom II X4 965 and i3 3220. If you can make use of the extra processing threads, go with the 965. Make sure the rest of your hardware is appropriate as well. Post it maybe?

For the Intel I was going to go with:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (upgrade in the future)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
For the AMD, i was going with the same hardware, except with this motherboard: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

If you go with the 965, you'll need an AM3/AM3+ mobo, which I know little about due to the fact that they're rarely good recommendations.
If you get the i3-3220, get this mobo:
This RAM: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
One of these PSUs: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
And I would not get a 6670 if this is a gaming build. I'd instead opt for a lower-end CPU like the Pentium G630 and a higher-end graphics card. At the end of the day after upgrading, you still wasted money on a card you no longer have a use for. Do it right the first time!
