So let's face it, Earth is doomed.
Obviously there is alot of time before the sun changes & we all know in a matter of time the heat from the sun will increase & wipe out all life on earth.
This is part of the suns changes & their is nothing we can do about this except one thing.

Space travel, now this may seem like some Halo crap here but, in a sense the human race will have to evolve to that.
We are going to have to abandon planet Earth eventually & move on.
Not in our life time or our childrens lifetime but soon, so what I ask.

Is our government doing enough to combat this situation?
If it was me, I'd be testing every possible space flight I could, from living conditions to transportation.
I guess I'm asking this because we barely see anything to do with space anymore, sure the Mars project going on right now, but why?
Mars is a rock & it's lifeless (as we know) so why are we investigating it for past life/water?
Why are we not looking into space travel for a permanent solution?

In my eyes, when either Governments, (US or UK etc) say 'We found frozen water.' I honestly don't care. How in the hell will that help us? I know that traveling further than Mars is both hard and unheard of, I think that's what should be the focus. The amount of sht we put in the Earth and do nothing about i.e Landfills, sewage leading and emptying out at sea will not/is not good and soon will be our doom. Something may not occur in the next 100+ years or so, but at the pace we are at, it could come soon after.

Whether it's the United Kingdom government, United States government, or the god damn African government, I'd say we aren't all doing anything as a whole.

Know what, this post actually made me think. But nothing really terrible with government will happen in our time.

Space travel has been in scientist studies for years and years now.

But not the space travel we need, it's nice to know we've stood on the moon & found certain things on Mars but we need to think about the bigger picture.

You are talking about building space station correct?

I was just thinking about stuff like this yesterday like will we ever run out of water is that what happen to Mars did they just run out of water and that is why there is no life there (as far as we know).

We have to start somewhere, and since Mars may have water, it was the perfect candidate. NASA and the other space programs are studying all of this, but it will never be made (fully) public until they are ready for it to be.

Well if he is talking about space station and like buildings in space, that has been in development for years.

Even private space stations are being made. For instance, the Virgin Airlines creator is building his own personal, one.
