if it was working fine, and you flashed a kv and just got that error, it was a bad kv, you can easily fix it. Just look around for a tut

Well, whatever you do, DON'T do the towel trick, DON'T remove the x-clamps and DON'T overheat the xbox, works sometimes but not worth to ruining your xbox for. Usually just makes the problem come back worse.

Error e71 has to deal with file system corruption, particularly with a file called xam.xex and most likely is not a kv related issue.

Did the error just randomly appear? Or did you do something to cause it to happen? Do you have your original nand?

iHawk wrote First, turn it on then take everything out of it even your HD. Second while you still have it on get two towels. Wrap bothe towels around the xbox. THAT WAY IT WILL GET OVERHEATED AND THE FAN WILL TURN OFF. Third, once you hear the fan turn off unwrap it and plug everyhting back into the xbox. Fourth, once you have plugged everything in turn off your xbox then turn it back on. SOMETIMES IT WORKS AND SOMETIMES ID DOESN'T.
DONT NOT TRY THIS METHOD. IT MELTS THE DIODES AND CHIPS ON THE MOTHERBOARD. All it is is that your xbox has overheated. Leave It For a Few Hours And If You Need the Fan Speed Patches AIM Me... ihccallum

One of your AV cables must not be working properly, or your dashboard has been corrupted by a BAD KV. It should look like this if it was E71.
