The main protaganists of the game is Joel and Ellie. They are in a quarantine zone twenty years after a plaugue breaks out. Codyceps unilateralis (the plague) is contaigous to human. The game begins in Boston and as Ellie and Joel make their way out of the quarantine zone, the game begins to play throughout areas across the United States, including a post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh and other locations being reclaimed by nature. After a nearby safe haven fails to work out, Joel and Ellie continue their venture westward across a desolate and ravaged United States. As the two slowly make their way through the wasteland, they soon realize that they must learn to trust each other and work together if they hope to survive their journey, and overcome the hardships along the way.

Confirmed by Naughty Dog players can take control of Joel while Ellie is being controlled by an AI.Also, a new gameplay mechanic the developers have introduced is something that they call "dynamic stealth", meaning that there are many different types of strategies and techniques that the player can use at any given time as they approach a new situation, to which enemies will react differently. Though situations can have a different outcome, it all mainly depends on the player's preference of play.

Similar to the Gears of war series 3rd person this game can be played in High definition mode. The game was first teased before the Spike Video Game Awards on November 29, 2011, with a billboard in Times Square mentioning "a PS3 exclusive you won't believe".[5] Initial trailers showed an apocalyptic event, including riots, epidemic, quarantine, and violence, as well as a clip of the BBC's Planet Earth showing an ant infected with Cordyceps unilateralis, a dangerous parasitic fungus that usually kills insects such as ants. On December 9, players of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception spotted an in-game reference to the aforementioned trailer with the newspaper headline "scientists are still struggling to understand deadly fungus".[6] At the Spike Video Game Awards, Sony officially unveiled the game, a brand new intellectual property from Naughty Dog, created by a previously unpublicized 80-person Naughty Dog development team. A gameplay trailer, made up of in-engine footage,[7] showed a man and a teenage girl fending off other survivors and what appeared to be people with unusual fungal growth, before running out into a dilapidated city covered in greenery, reminiscent of the film I Am Legend.[8]
Shortly after the unveiling, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells posted new details of The Last of Us on the Playstation Blog

The Walking Dead: Starved For Help
Release Date: June 29, 2012
Price: 5.00 USD
Rated 18+
Developer: Telltale Games
Publisher: Telltale Games

Synopsis: The living will have to survive amongst the dead in this game based on The Walking Dead, the widely acclaimed comic book series and television series. Across five dark and emotional episodes of gameplay, every decision and action you take can result in the entire story of the game changing around you.

Gameplay: In this game, you play as Lee Everett, who is part of a group trying to survive the apocalypse. This is the Second Episode of the Five Episode Series. Other characters include Kenny and his family, Clementine, the little girl who you must watch over, and Lilly, the self proclaimed leader of the group. The storyline of this game is the main attraction, as the actual game is a point and click game, of sorts. In the storyline, your group desperately needs food and supplies, and all seems lost until a group of farmers saves you. You meet many interesting characters along the journey, all developed and interesting to interact with. Zombies may be a threat, but not as much as the waning sanity of the people around you, and the choices you make affect yourself and the group, whether they be for better or worse.
After playing this game, I was immensely satisfied, as the storyline was as engaging as any movie, which is really what this game is, a horror movie, except you are the director. The one downside was that this game does not feature any multiplayer, nor do you play as any other characters... at least not yet.

Graphics: The graphics look like they are animated directly from a comic book, and are wonderful to look at. While it isn't some great masterpiece, the graphics keep you entertained, and hide the true reality behind the groups actual fate. Sometimes during the many cutscenes, I would be cheering for a character, happy and fired up, and other moments were actually sad. The problems with the many cutscenes are that some of the scenes would have huge lag in them, and could already be choppy.

Controls: The controls were good, not great, but not bad either. As it is a point and click game, the Xbox controller was not the best thing to use anyway, but sometimes you had to fight people, which was hard to do, as you cannot use the buttons to fight. However, this was only a couple times, and the controls were good overall.

My Rating: 9
Good graphics, good controls, and an incredible story that made me want to play the next chapter even more then the first had.
Basically, if you enjoyed the first episode, then you will enjoy this even more so

With The Secret World, Funcom has proven that years of work and a fistful of new ideas can still result in a miserable game.

The Pros
Huge assortment of quest missions
Brings a new way of thinking to MMOs
There are zombies in one world
The Cons
Offputtingly bad graphics, animations and gameplay
Lack of classes/leveling system is a good idea with poor execution
Weak story and dialogue
The Secret World Review:

The larger a game is, the higher the chance is for mistakes. Tetris had none. Skyrim had quite a few. The Secret World has too many.

The Secret World misses the mark in almost every way. From graphical and animation hitches to buggy quests and piss-poor voice acting, the game features almost no redeeming qualities. Perhaps worst of all is how badly I wanted the game to be good. Im a huge fan of the Supernatural TV series and really anything that needs to be killed with fire or a silver bullet, so The Secret World sounded like the perfect game for me. Unfortunately, even my love of the unknown wasnt enough to make the game even moderately tolerable.

A Weak Foundation

The first thing I noticed when I started The Secret World was just how weak it looked. The graphics consistently fail to impress, even on the highest setting. There are also a number of animation issues, even this late into the beta (every time my character jumped down more than a single story, her knee would clip through her face). All of these visual problems cast a pall over the rest of the game, making it even less palatable.

Not only is it an ugly game, its also a game that at its core isnt fun to play. Movement feels sluggish and platforming feels like its a generation behind. Combat is fairly standard, with one small addition. Certain attacks build resources for certain weapons, while other attacks will require/drain these resources. However, no matter what weapon you choose to use, youll feel like youre using a melee weapon, as ranged weapons are fairly useless. Even attacks designed to slow down mobs fail to keep them at bay for long.
Notice I said weapon and not class. This is due to the games largest failure: a lack of classes or a leveling system. I love when games try new things to break from the norm, and this idea had potential. Unfortunately, Funcom turned this potential into a mismanaged mess.

The story is so weak and tortuous it hardly merits mention. You take the role of a magical agent of one of three factionsthe Dragon, the Illuminati or the Templars. The overall story and mission is unclear, which would seriously not be a big deal if the rest of the game wasnt so terrible. Your character is silent, which can actually work, but does not work here. (I found myself baffled at the thought of my character simply standing there stonefaced while NPCs tell her their life story for no reason.) The writing is among the worst I have heard in a game and even the voice acting is hard to stomach.

Like A High School Dropout: No Class

Its surprisingly discouraging to play a game with no leveling. There is still experience granted, and even an experience bar on the bottom of the screen. However, when the bar is filled, you dont become stronger or even better in any way. Instead, you are granted points used to purchase new abilities or skills. Because you choose weapons instead of classes, you can put these points toward becoming more proficient with a certain weapon.

Ideally when you start out with a limited amount of points, you choose two weapons or magical abilities that complement one another; however, this isnt explained whatsoever and with scarce points trial and error isnt really an option. So, essentially you are forced to choose one or two weapons and stick with thempraying you chose correctlywhich feels a lot like choosing a class without the added benefits. Eventually, after gaining enough points to max out multiple weapons and abilities, it would be possible to experiment and find the best one. But starting out, if youre picking up different abilities that might resemble -- say, a tank -- without extensive forum research you could very well waste dozens of hours plugging points into the wrong abilities.

It is as ugly as it sounds.

Funcom made The Secret World without leveling or classes in an effort to lower the bar for entry. The idea was that if all gamers are always on the same plane, new gamers will flock to the game. Instead, the game is just too difficult to enjoy across the board. Mobs never really become easier to kill because you never really level above them. Your health only increases if youre using certain gear, which is frustrating if you dont obsessively loot everything you can find.

On A Quest To Find A Better Game

The quests in the game are another serious weak point. If you can find a quest that doesnt have at least one bug in it, it still wont be very much fun. Most quests feel like time sinks without the comforting thought that at least youre gaining experience and leveling. One quest I watched a number of people struggle with incorporated following flying ravens that would either clip into buildings or simply disappear. Only by sheer guesswork was I able to find out where the ravens went. Some quests require outside knowledge to solve, like say an obscure bible passage. But who in their right mind wants to exit a game, visit Google and look up a passage? It interrupts gameplay and just feels like lazy design.

With this many bad missions, it would be nice to simply ignore some and get others. However, the game forbids this, as youre only able to have one story quest and three auxiliary quests at any given time. More than once I figured out a convoluted quest, only to realize it wasnt in my list and I had to trek all the way back to whoever gave me the mission. Stupider still, all quests are repeatable, which means you may find yourself accidentally accepting quests youve completed in lieu of quests you are working on.

Even travelsomething extremely important in MMORPGsis bungled. The Secret World simply does not feel like an open world game. In order to travel from one city to the next, you must use an underground network of portals connected by extremely long paths that, once again, feel like a meaningless time sink.

No One Likes Secrets

The Secret World has too many problems to function. When describing my experience to one of my friends, she asked me, is it free-to-play? I replied that even if it were, the cost would still be too high. Even simple things like the inability to hotkey health potions made me raise an eyebrow. And dont get me started on the pathetic excuse for a crafting system. I actually enjoy crafting weapons, but even after reading myriad forums and watching tutorial videos, it was still an utter waste of time.

After playing the game for over a month I havent seen any serious signs of improvement. Quests remain buggy, graphics suffer and the core of the game is still as obnoxious as ever. MMORPGs occupy a crowded market of obsessive and dedicated gamers, and I dont see any of them leaving a variety of much better games for the pathetic softball Funcom has lobbed our way.

Pong
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Release Date: 1972
Developers: Atari
Publishers: Atari
Platforms: Arcade
Genre: Sports Game
Players: 1-2
Rating: N/A

Synopsis
Pong is a two-dimensional sports game that simulates table tennis. The player controls an in-game paddle by moving it vertically across the left side of the screen, and can compete against either a computer controlled opponent or another player controlling a second paddle on the opposing side. Players use the paddles to hit a ball back and forth. The aim is for a player to earn more points than the opponent; points are earned when one fails to return the ball to the other.

Story
The story of Pong is as told: you are a little block figure in a little block world where you must not allow the little block ball get past your sneaky block ways. Very difficult after the opponent and you hit the ball back in forth for quite some time, which is very hard to do as the little ball gets pretty fast, and the paddle movement is pretty slow.

Gameplay [Single & Multiplayer]
The Gameplay is very simple, you must not allow the little ball get past your paddle, or the opponent gets a point. You can play up to certain points: 1, 5, 10, and 20 point games, I usually play 5 point games because they're nice and fast.
You can also play with a friend, which is much more fun then splitscreening Call of Duty games as there aren't any screen-looking being done!

Graphics
The graphics, in my opinion are great. The retro feeling makes them much better then they actually are, and on the Xbox Indie version it actually looks a little bit more modern then the original Atari version.

Controls
I played this on xbox, and the controls are simple. You use the LS to move your paddle up and down, although it's pretty slow, which can get a bit tricky if you and the opponent are hitting the ball back and forth for a while.

Rating
Gameplay 10/10
Graphics 10/10
Controls 10/10
Overall Rating: 10

Graphics

The graphics for TBOGT are also very good, they can support 720p/1080p.
The frame rate on TBOGT is very supportive.
My rate on The graphics would be a strong 9/10, they are very good.

The controls of TBOGT are very simple, and are just like GTA: IV.

The controls on TBOGT are very supportive and helpful, when it is needed your controller will vibrate, like when you are fighting when you get punched and nearly out the vibration will tell you, and the controls work really well with the sensitivity of the game.

My personal rating

My rating on TBOGT would be 9.7/10, there can be them little times when something stupid will happen, like attracting cops attention for an unnecessary reason but it's very rare for them little slip ups.
Apart from that the game is very good and realistic, and I would definatley recommend buying it.

Online Game Modes

As you know, TBOGT has access to multiplayer and have alot of different game modes. Similar to GTA:IV.

Deathmatch | Team Deathmatch
In Deathmatch, with up to 16 players online, your objective is to have the most kills within the set time. Players are awarded contract money for each kill, which is the same as Team deathmatch, you and your teammates have to kill everyone you can collecting there money and the team with the most money at the end of the game is the winner.

Free Mode

Everyone likes free-mode. It is just like single player but you can play with friends or other people from around the world and you can kill, No rules, no guidelines, just all out mayhem! You can also parachute from the tallest buildings online.

There is alot more game modes too such as cops and robbers, races etc.

That is my review on TBOGT, If you haven't already you should definatley go and purchase it.

This game is a third person shooter you can toggle right camera angle and left camera angle depending on what you like ...

Now moving onto the game play this game is a much fun to play maybe online with people or even just in co-op with people you may / know.

I personally really like this game as it gives me the feeling that this is a real life situation.

This game is under construction as its only in beta but not many bugs and good game play footage can be got from this even though its a horror based game you can get hours of joy from it but also very scared at the same time

Call of Duty4: Modern Warfare

CoD:4 Was a very big improvement for the Call of Duty franchise, and some say it's still the best Call of Duty ever.

Synopsis

Eschewing the traditional WWII setting that has been the hallmark of the series, Call of Duty 4 takes on the more nebulous world of modern warfare. Nazi storm troopers and kamikaze pilots have been replaced by a patchwork group of terrorists and insurgents, and traditional WWII weapons have been jettisoned in favor of more than 70 modern armaments. Though the story is a departure from the previous games, Call of Duty 4 still features intense mission-based first-person shooter gameplay that should be familiar to fans.

Call of Duty4: Modern Warfare

Developer: Infinity Ward
Platforms: X360 | PS3 | PC
Game Modes: Single player, Multiplayer
Rating: 16+
Release Date: 2007

Gameplay:

Call of Duty: Modern warfare is a very good game, the gameplay is very good also.
Once you complete the campaign on CoD:4 you can do a mode called "Arcade" which allows you to re-do every mission, it's the exact same but you get points which add up to a score. You can do this with some friends, and see who gets the highest score!

Characters

With the Call of Duty franchise, you are usually attached to the characters. But as this is just the first Modern Warfare you aren't as attached, but still attached.

John "Soap" Mctavish
This is your character, he has just joined the army and wants to make a big improvement. Which lies in your hands to do so.

Captain Price
Captain Price is the most respected in your group, and is a die-hard war hero.

Sgt. Paul Jackson
You play with Jackson, but you are with different people, as they are different groups.

Gaz
Captain Prices right hand man, he is the first person you see in CoD:4 and he teaches you the basics.

Nikolai
Nikolai is a pilot, and your first en-counter with him is when you are rescuing him from an enemy base.

They are the main players you will hear of the most, and now for the enemies...

Imran Zakhaev
Imran Zakhaev, the leader of the Russian party and the main enemy of the game.

Victor Zakhaev
The son of Imran Zakhaev, you have to chase him down in a mission.

Khaled Al-Asad
He is the commander of the revolutionary forces.

Controls
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The controls are very easy to understand and helpful at times, when you are shooting someone and have to reload, its very easy to just click the melee control as your finger is placed on it when playing. The controls are very helpful with the sensitivity you play, everything goes at the right pace.

Graphics
The graphics of CoD:4 is very good for 2007, and support 1080p and 720p.

My Rating
Well, as this is my second favorite Call of Duty; and the first I ever played I would rate it nothing better then a 10/10. It is a very good game with easy controls, good graphics and you get attached to the storyline when playing.

Trailer

Although it's five years old, it's one of the best games in History of gaming for me.
