The code's are kinda glitched, They work and when you redeem the code you get xbox live. The glitched part is it doesn't let you have membership once your on the dashboard, but when you start a game the membership works and let's you talk and play on xbox live. So if you want to talk to your friends then you will need to play a xbox game.

Edit:

If you wait a few hours, the dashboard will be normal and let you talk to your friends etc. Without been on a game
