I've always been a "suck it up and be a man about it," kind of guy when life (and it's people) threw feces at me.

That's not to say that I'm a bully supporter, or that I don't think bullying is wrong. I just personally chose not to let the beatdowns get to me.

I hate to be 'that guy,' but there is no hope of changing things like these. Anyone can make a 'motion,' or start a 'movement,' to stop shaken baby syndrome, stop bullying and stop drug use.

However, the only people who will support said movements or foundations are the people who are on board with doing or not doing whatever the movement is about. There are always going to be people out there who don't like what you like, don't eat what you eat and don't act/live how you live.

There were just as many bullies back in the days of our parents, grandparents and other older relatives. However, as the population has increased... so has the 'amount of bullies,' when in reality it's only blown up the proportions on both respective ends.. not necessarily gotten worse. Back in the olden days it may have been just calling somebody a name, and I understand that now-a-days bullying has gotten a bit extreme and has driven the victims to do things such as all the incidents in my state of Colorado.

Also, depression will exist with or without bullying. I have been diagnosed with depression, but have several ways of managing my mind. Just because somebody bullies you does not mean that you should go to the extreme of killing yourself.

Suicide is the most selfish thing anyone can do to themselves and those around. More selfish than murder itself. If somebody is bullying you to the point where suicide seems like a feasible option, then I'd suggest 'being a man,' and standing the **** up for yourself. This generation is so weak it's ridiculous.
