Its possable that the files your friend gave you could have been a virus to change fan speed. In the worst case (which ive seen before) 0022 is a brick. Meaning your efuses could have been blown because of a infected kv or xex.

i dont think my buddy would **** me over like that, i mean it started up first time just fine, i got into xex menu and went to start madden (done it 20 times before) and it froze.. so i turned it off like usual. set for a second or two.. started it up and the fans took off and never slow down. even after putting new thermal paste on. so looks like new jtag it is.

Well you never know. Some 360 files you download will have the xex modified to harm your system. Microsoft knows alot about this since they remotely brick xboxs by blowing efuses on xbox development kits on pnet. The virus dosnt take effect till your xbox restarts completely. Same as changing your fan speed it dosn't take effect till your xbox reboots. I would look for a fan mod xex to take your fan speed back to normal if you still havnt figured out why there blasting. Chances are you got a bad xex or kv.

and before anyone asks, i can not boot into xell or anything to upload my flashdmp/updflash.


it turns on.. doesnt load or do anything, then after about 30 seconds gets the rrod.




and if it helps any.. for the past week its frozen a couple times.
