*sigh* Maybe you shouldn't jailbreak if you have no idea what you're doing. :facepalm: You can update to iOS6 with a jailbroken iDevice but you will lose Cydia and all your downloads from Cydia, you would have to jailbreak again on iOS6, unfortunately there is no updated JB for iOS6 at the moment.. that I know of.

Short Answer:YES, you can update, iDevice will NOT brick but you WILL lose all your JB files.
