i have a 3gs which wont turn on.

the battery was replaced not too long ago and have never had this issue before.

its jailbroken on ios 5.1.1

i CANT enter dfu mode. itunes wont recognize it
it wont charge either

battery was at around 97% when it decided to shut off

edit: just noticed the screen flickers every now and then, no image just a flash of black...

That happened to my iPhone 4 , but mine is not Jailbroken...

This happened to me and i was going to buy a new phone. all i did was give it 2 or 3 days for the phone to die. you can check buy calling it. once it goes to voice mail plug it in.

I broke my ipod jailbreaking it a few times. one time i ccould not fix it but the apple re sellers at storm-front fixed it free. they told me they we magical O_o

Ofcourse it was a software problem not hardware so it never cost them at all.
