So I have a NVIDIA graphics and video card. It is not good enough to start playing PC Games like Left 4 Dead, BF3, etc. Pretty much, I can only play Minecraft on medium settings.
I just want to know some basic things I can do to get my computer to get ready to start PC gaming. I am taking all ideas.
Recently, Borederlands 2 advertisement said my computer was not able to handle the game. It gave me a reccomendation that to play on high settings, I had to upgrade my graphics, video card that costs $309. I'm perfectly fine with that, but is that all I need?
Please leave me any parts or computers that are good for PC gaming.

Well you also have the question if your processor can run it as well.Does the graphics card require a power supply upgrade because some/most do.

I know exactly where you're coming from. You know close to little about computer specs and what not, that's okay! I was there, we all were at some point. Here's what you need to know, some postulates you should learn:
>factory built computers, NO. Always build your own.
>numbers mean close to nothing compared to performance (price, speeds, etc)
>never buy without extensive research about the top competitors product. Also ask around for opinions, a great place to do that is this section on TTG.
>trust people's advice, you'll be able to tell who knows what they're talking about and who doesn't.
>use google! You can find 98% answers there!

Well the thing is, I don't know if I'm experienced enough to build my own PC. I'm only 14 years old. I know how to follow directions in this case, but I always seem to mess soemthing up.

It's literally a matter of snapping some pieces in place and plugging in some wires. I'd say the hardest part, no doubt, is actually making the wiring neat. I thought the same thing as you, trust me, it's not hard at all!

Could you maybe send a link of what parts and things I need? Also maybe how to hook it up? I just want a computer that can handle games like DayZ, Borderlands 2, Minecraft, etc on highes settings and doesn't lag. Thanks
