You forgot to mention that you specifically stated you did not want to spend money on the external drive that CAME with all of the games you mentioned.

You also forgot to mention that your calls and emails consisted of nothing more then threats (threats towards family members, and friends coming over to "convince" sudburymods to do the right thing?) and delirious rants.

You did receive the system exactly as it was described on the description page.

Any other support would of had cut you off with the childish way you acted over something that you could of had easily corrected.

The modding community does not support aggressive abusers, I would hate to be your wife or kids.

Sudburymods has hundreds of repeat customers, who when need the support do so in a calm positive manner and they are helped with there issues.

If you have an issue here is a tissue.

I would hate to be CrazyP1980 when he has to deal with you for support, which you will need, as you do have to be somewhat technical to use the modded systems.

All resellers avoid dealing with Matt Gold, unless you like being emailed with threats, and abusive phone calls.

The system was $300 not $400, just cant stop lying can you. ;)

Let's review what we ACTUALLY talked about Andre, because every time I e-mailed with specific issues, you replied with nonsense (like much of this post) and whenever I call you, you hang up like a frightened child... If you want to run a business, accept the fact that some customers might call you when you don't deliver what you promised.


For anyone that really cares, I have a 35 page PDF of ALL our e-mails back and forth I would share in a heartbeat. But, I will give the abridged version to keep potential customers (victims) from tuning out.

My initial message to SudburyMods:
"Hi there, I'm looking to buy a 'plug and play' MAME XBox360 console. I see a few different options, but I'm not sure which one I need. I have no need to go online with it, but if I *could* use it with my existing XBL Gamer Tag, that's a plus. Thanks!"


Me:
"Does the Xbox 360 RGH come with MAME already installed? I'm not that tech saavy and want something truly 'plug n play'..."

SudburyMods:
"Yes I can install the MAME emulator for you no problem. ;)"


Me:
"Will you make sure it has MAME for Arcade, NES, SNES, Genesis, etc, etc? WITH games loaded? Just like the video?

Keep in mind, this was all BEFORE the purchase. No where did Andre tell me there was any problem, we even e-mailed back and forth before the system shipped about customs / shipping and he NEVER mentioned he had any problems. After I got the XBox, we went back and forth on e-mail again.

I was unable to copy all of the roms to the internal HDD, freestyldash and
xexmenu would continue to give errors during the copy process due to the amount

From there, Andre starts sending me torrents to "emulators" but these are PC emulators not XBox ones... starts sending links to ROMs... Then when I ask what to do with these, starts into telling me ROMs don't copy into External harddrives, and a lot of the banter he posted above.

The problem is, I ordered a system to be plug n play from the get go and followed all his instructions on what to do! I always ASKED what I needed, never told him what I needed, only what I wanted to do. I let him make the call on what I should buy, bought it, and he sent something I can't use. Then he tells me to go away. Awesome business.

As for any "threats" Andre perceived, AFTER he stopped taking my calls... actually he'd answer, then realize it was me and then hang up. I told him I had family in Sudbury, which is a VERY small town in Canada and most likely we had mutual friends even if they didn't know Andre / someone in his family personally - and I would use whatever leverage I could to force him to make this right... namely, telling his parents. Yes, taddle-taleing. I never threatened violence, but obviously a guilty conscious might perceive it that way.

Oh, and here are the e-mail confirmations of the $396 WU payment.

Andre, just learn to do business like a professional. You tell someone you are going to do something, just do it. Don't turn around and blame the customer for your lack of ability. Perhaps you really thought you were doing me a favor... well you weren't. It's people like you that makes people so nervous about buying online. They say one thing and do another.

Don't believe me that a post was deleted? Easygo32 has a post count of "1" on that post back in March, he posted in this thread which should bring him up to post count "2"... but for some reason it's only at "1" (currently). Obviously a post (thread) was deleted.

So the end result is that Matt Gold is a lawyer that is going to go to court because his modified system did not contain pirated software that he says was purchased with the system.

Avoid this individual at all costs.

After every attempt to walk this guy thru on how to add the content to his system he is still impossible to work with and is ridiculous.

Make what you want out of this, Have a good one.

Yeah, so far CrazyP has been awesome.

I asked to return the system to SudburyMods (I even offered to pay shipping). He has 15 days to respond, after that there's the Consumer Protection Act (in Canada) that allows a customer to return a good within 10 days (they call it a "cooling off period") no questions asked ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

Selling is a possibility - I might just give it to CrazyP as a "thanks" when this is all said and done.

We're at no point in which "going to court" is going to help or be an appropriate response. There are 100 steps between here and there. The most professional of which is for you to send me my money back I send you your system back. If it's an awesome system and you sell tons of systems, I don't see why this is a problem.

The modified system wasn't what I purchased, and you acted like a child once you were cornered... that's all there is to it.

I'd also like to hear an explanation of why you were posting positive reviews of SudburyMods as a "customer". This paints a perfect picture of who you are as a business person. *Dishonest*.


If this thread convinces one customer to NOT buy from you, it's accomplished it's goal.
