Maybe swap out the i5 for an i5 2500k. It is just cheaper and has identical specs to the ivy bridge variant

I've already got a copy of windows 7, and i've swapped the 3570k for the 2500k and the cooling that you recommended

Yep! I bought a new copy in advance, i've also heard some people complaining about AMD drivers, would I be better off with an nvidia gpu? I've also heard SLI is better than crossfire if i added another card in the future

I really have always heard that AMD had better drivers. Maybe they were wrong? If not, it really isn't much of a big deal. Radeon is still cheaper and faster

this is true the nvida control panel is just hands down easier to turn on sli and adjust everything. Also the gtx 660ti will perform better then the radeon 7850.

I'll stick with AMD then, and as i'm still well within my budget i'm tempted to swap my current HDD for the 10000 rpm VelociRaptor HDD, or maybe get some more cooling
