Obviously, on paper..Yes. They have arguably the best pure point guard in the league, the best ballhogs sexual predatorsI mean one of the best "scorers" in the league, and the most dominate big man in the league. Beyond that, they have Metta, besides the fact that he's a headcase, he's a top notch shut down defender. AND PAU. Pau is definitely a top caliber PF, defensively, scoring, and passing the ball.

I just think all of that talent is going to clash. Obviously Nash will move the ball, that's a given. Dwights gonna want his touches, Kobe wants his excessive amounts of touches, and Pau is already getting a diminished amount of touches.

I just hope they don't..I hate the Lakers. Although I like Steve Nash, and he deserves a ring.

(Here comes a sh*t ton of text)

Statistically, they are arguably the best in the league. In actuality, they aren't as great as everyone says. They are definitely great, but I wouldn't say they will dominate. They have good players, but it's their first season...they still need to develop. Think about it. Dwight Howard carried his team, without a question. The Magic were nothing until he arrived. Steve Nash carried his team, also without question. And, last but not least, KOBE HAS CARRIED HIS TEAM EVER SINCE SHAQ LEFT. So, when you take three ballhogs players that carried their teams, they aren't going to have great chemistry. Look at the HEAT. LeBron carried the Cavs, Bosh carried the Raptors, and Dwyane Wade carried the HEAT. Then in 2010, they joined together and they were undoubtedly the best team in the league. They made it to the Finals, just as everyone had expected. But, in the Finals, Dwyane Wade went back to his 2006 feel, where he carried his team...so LeBron disappeared in the 4th, and Bosh could never score the ball. Then they fell to the MAVS. THE MAVS. Thats pathetic!

What I'm getting at is I honestly doubt they have enough chemistry to "dominate." The Thunder could still easily beat them in a 7-game series. Plus, I still think Miami could defend their title against either team. I'm not saying that because I'm a HEAT fan, I'm saying that because it's the truth.

TL;DR................. No, they won't dominate.

I say not this year.
I think they are going to be like the Heat.
They might go to the finals, but they will lose.

I don't think the Lakers would dominate just because they're getting somewhat cocky right now. Nash has been the only player that has been humble this offseason. Kobe, Howard, World Peace definitely have been talking so much lately about themselves and the title. Gasol is neutral.

I don't think they'll be able to focus at all because they are talking too much and they also were three superstars on their team prior to the 2012 season. Nash, Kobe, and Howard all had the ball in their hands in clutch situations for their team in 2011 and there's not enough ball to go around anymore. They will probably need time to establish a good passing offense because without that, they're not dominating.
