First off, let me say that I do not have too much knowledge on JTAGed Xboxes, but I do know that the basic idea behind them is that they can run unsigned code. I assume this is similar to Jailbreaking an iPhone or another apple product. At one point, there was a way to jailbreak an iDevice without a computer, called thetechgame.org. Its basicly worked by injecting code containing jailbreak data via a PDF file. This is where Xbox comes into play. As some of you may know, the new xbox dashboard update will have the ability to browse the internet. I was wondering if the same type of exploit used with thetechgame.org, could work with an Xbox to be able to run unsigned code using the Internet Explorer App. Thanks.

xbox would patched it, and they would monitor downloads/site history, so if you even tried you would get instantly perma/console banned .

I dont think this will be possible.
Jailbreaking does not require any hardware modifications, whereas performing the JTAG and RGH hacks require physically modding the xbox. (soldering wires/chips to the motherboard)

The Xbox security architecture is far more advanced than anything Apple has, and ever will, make. Traditional exploits like this are simply out of the question.

Internet Explorer is likely to run in a fully-sandboxed environment. Even if you were to "break out", you would have limited access due to HV and memory protections/restrictions.

Actually I think Eaton might be right. It took well over a year to discover the RGH hack after the JTAG hack was patched, but IOS6 was literally jail broken the day after it was released.
