He was right, the A10 is one of the newer chips, so of course would be a better choice.

A Pentium G630 or Celeron G530 with a discrete graphics card like the 6670 would give you much better performance than an APU. I only recommend them if even the G530 + 6670 combo puts you over budget, which is really only for sub-$300 builds in my experience.

Yep! And the names are just recycled by Intel. This is not an old CPU and it's incredible for the price.
