It is slightly more expensive but is ridiculously mobile and is just an awesome laptop for school. Grab an SSD and you'll be set!

Not sure why you would say it's not good for gaming. Obviously you wont be running BF3 on ultra or anything but pretty much any recent game should be able to be played on medium-high with that laptop. I have a similar version with 8 gigs of ram and it runs perfect.
