This isn't at all portable, all this is is a desktop solution. A bad one too, seriously. An i7 in a laptop and a dedicated GPU means you'll be lucky to have a 2 hour batterly life. Slow HDD, but that's expected.

Gaming laptops are a MASSIVE waste of money, whatever +$1300 this costs could buy you a really really good desktop! If you still need a laptop for school, you can set aside some money and split the budget. Don't buy that laptop..

This sounds like a really good waste of money.
