Ok but what about the other retailers like Walmart,Target ETC. They sell the new games for 60 dollars and they also don't make a large profit off of new games so why does Gamestop ?

I could honestly care less if they make profit.. most.. actually ALL places do..

i dont get where you profit 40$ when you sell it to someone else..you buy the game for 60 dollars. then sell it for 40...thats only 20 dollars. the same you would get if you traded it in at gamestop

Yeah gamestops not going to give you 40 dollars for any game.I tested this myself.I got GTA4 the day it came out and a week later i was going to sell it back and see how much money they would give me. It was around 20 dollars.

this is a good post ... howwever recently developers are now making games harder to buy used since they are losing tons of money on them ... now they have codes with new games to get you exclusive stuff

if you buy the game new u get a ton of free dlc stuff versus when you buy it used u have to buy a code for it which is like addition 15 bucks...

developers are now finding ways to stop this so gamestop will be introuble

gamestop is a monopoly. meaning it is the only place to buy a video game. Does anyone in america remember EB games? gamestop bought them out. How about Rhino games? gamestop bought them out as well. I dont know about the game companies in the UK so i cant speak for them. Gamestop buys the smaller companies and that makes them the only ones to buy video games from. Yes you can buy from amazon or walmart but those arent the first places people think of when buying video games. they think of a video game company.....Gamestop.

I don't enjoy gamestops prices, but I am glad that there is a gaming store that sells used games at least. Also people that can help you out when looking into a new game or console
