I have two consoles. One has a BenQ drive and one has a liteon. i just flashed the BenQ, but i dont have a probe so i cant flash the liteon. is it okay if i swap the drives' xboxs? I want to have the BenQ on the xbox that origianlly came with the Liteon. Will this get me banned? I know i can get banned for having a flashed drive but i want to know if ill get console banned instantly for swapping drives

If you swap dvd keys on the drives and put them into the opposite console then they will both work. You also wont be banned for having a different disc drive unless its flashed.

That wont work. Since you dont have the probe, you cant flash the DVD key. If you cant flash the DVD key, the drive wont work on your xbox.

from my experience, i can't remember which update it was, but you can no longer spoof drives, they just won't won't work
has to be the same model
the only other way to get around that is to modify the nand, but again that's something not possible once on 15574 and obviously a bit too in-depth....
