Ok just today I read a post on here and some guy said he came across a random well and that if you dig below it you would discover a stronghold. Of course fake was the first thing that came to mind. Two hours later I get on minecraft (which is now) and start a new world. After 2 minutes of walking around I though I saw a village way in the distance so I walked to it. It was a well. Remembering what I read earlier the guy said dig in or next to it just straight down. I crafted two wooden pickaxes and started my decent. After digging 25 blocks down, what do I discover? An abandoned mineshaft. So if any of you guys find a random well anywhere on your map. Dig next to it.
