I went to rename a world I've spent a ton of time on, and when I renamed it, it duplicated the world below it over the one I was renaming. So now I have two of the same worlds and I lost the one I was renaming.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? If so have you been able to retrieve your old world?

I've spent countless hours on this world making an awesome hunger games map..

It did that with me its a bug i tweeted 4J Studios and they said there going to fix asap unlucky though

this same thing happened to me too i was making a barbarian city with floating islands with houses and boat ships flying around and i spent over 4 hours of work on it and i went to rename it and the world changed into my survival and so my barbarian world just dissaper but any way yea the same thing happen to me

It has done it to a lot of people and 4J is working on it and they said it should be fixed by mid to end of next week. Sorry about that dude.

So when they do get it fixed will we get our worlds back? Probably not, but have they said anything about that?
