They took out the Red LEDs, so literally no...But doesn't mean that there won't be a problem with your Slim.

You sir are wrong, my xbox slim has red dot of death right now there are still red leds, if you would like a picture just ask.

I have had an old elite for just over 4 years and it has never had red ring I really don't understand how people can get it

No, There is no red ring of death, But if you do something stupid, (Like let a pillow lay ontop of it for a few hours) it will get a red dot in the middle and will shut off and cool ;)

Im pretty sure the newer slims get the yellow dot dude there are yellow leds that tell you when you get a problem its get a really small chance they take ages to over heat had mine on for 2 days by accident still works like a charm but I dont get how people get the ring or dot I have never had it I got a xenon Jtag 2006 model and a Slim 2011 model and no problem
