If you have ever played the last and final DLC pack, Rezzurection, on Black Ops, you have most likely heard about that awesome and hateful Easter Egg where Dr. Richtofen completes his "grand scheme" by overthrowing the master of the zombies, who was Sam, Dr. Maxis' daughter, so he could put himself in control of the zombies. As you may or may not recall, Sam was in control of the zombies so she could get revenge on Dr. Richtofen for all of the dirty things he did, and for the "murder" of Dr. Maxis' physical body. Well, in progression of completing the Easter Egg, you blow "Earth" up...Recall that you start out in Area 51, a real place on Earth to get to the moon.
So after the Easter Egg is complete and "Earth" was blown to smithorines, you could still use teleporter technology the was developed ON EARTH to get back to Area 51 so you can Pack-a-Punch your weapon. But what gets people that may have noticed this, when you look up into the sky while you're on Area 51, a different planet is being blown up! Weird.
You may be asking, "Well, what if Area 51 was on a 'decoy' planet?". What I think confirms my thoughts about the Easter Egg is that I pose a question as to why Dr. Maxis would blow up the real Earth where actual people like himself lived and designed actual technology (like Perk-a-Cola and Pack-a-Punch machines) to destroy post-apocalyptic post-WWII. Also, remember that the original four-some of heroes that killed zombies went from place to place to actual places in the real-world in their attempt to exterminate zombies. (Like in Shi No Numa, Verruckt, and Der Riese, and the Black Ops maps)
The real Earth could not have been blown up.
Now, we have seen a bunch of information about TranZit. If you'll notice, TranZit has many creeks of flowing lava in it, but I think that's just Treyarch's general theme of that particular setting, and it shouldn't have anything to do with the story. I hope at least, because the destruction of that mysterious, or "decoy" planet, would almost mislead you on the whole story that we've come to know and love entirely. Also, remember that the Perk-a-Cola and Pack-a-Punch machines are returning, and they were developed by Dr. Maxis on the real Earth. So perhaps the destruction of the "decoy" planet had an effect on the real Earth and caused destruction there, like we see on TranZit so far. It is a very puzzling topic.
Also I just want to point out that after you complete the Easter Egg on Moon, one of the heroes by the name of Takeo, states that he wants to get revenge on evil Dr. Richtofen. So I'm sure we will at least see Takeo, Dempsey, and Nikolai in some form of DLC. But remeber how in Kino Der Toten we'd see our four heroes' portraits hung on the wall? Did you notice that other picture that has a blacked-out portrait on it? Well I noticed.
You see, when Richtofen completes his grand scheme, he takes control of the zombies, overthrowing Sam, making her have to find a physical body so she can still redeem herself and avenge her fathers death while helping the other guys out. Note that Sam took Richtofen's physical body at the end of the Easter Egg. So by the end of that confusing Easter Egg, Sam was pretty much a very powerful female spirit inside a man's body, so by now she has probably gotten comfortable in a different physical body of another female to make things right in Black Ops 2's zombies storyline. Maybe Sam's portrait is the one that had always been blacked out to fool us and make us think. With our three remaining heroes of Black Ops zombies, Sam might have found her place with those gentlemen to get revenge together on Richtofen in Black Ops 2 somewhere along the line. It's like a redemption kinda thing if you think about it.
I would love for you guys to tell me what you think and feel free to add any details about the end of Black Ops 1's story and how it will later relate to Black Ops 2's zombie story.
Thanks!

It's not a new earth, it's just Treyarch reusing the sky texture, it wouldn't make sense if there was a "second planet" if at the back of the teleporter in Area 51 says "Welcome to Groomlake, Nevada" or something like that. Plus TranZit is like that because of the events in Moon. You noticed that the blue eyes of the zombies are from Richtofen
I think you're over thinking a small lazy mistake on Treyarch's part
That's my opinion

Exactly. Treyarch just copied and pasted the skybox texture from the moon part of the map, that lets you see Earth, to Area 51 after it blows up. You don't see the Earth before it blows up because the original skybox isn't see-through.
