Those are on-ear and the bass is incredible!

In that case I would get the XB500. Another good option would be the Philips Citiscape Downtown.

If you round down I guess the K518/K81 works. Tell me if that $.50 poses any problems!

The pricing on the V-Moda LP really sucks right now, but you'll probably like them a lot. They're VERY bassy, good-looking, portable, and durable.

Check out the Citiscape Downtown. You might also look at the Sony XB500, but I can only imagine them wreaking havoc on voices in rap. It was also not specified what type you want, so... Not sure this is what you had in mind.

Okay here's another gushy piece about the Sextett. I started playing Phutureprimitive's Kinetik through them after being reacquainted with the SA5000, wondering how the Sextetts would do in comparison. While the Sextetts were much less focused, oh my goodness its sound is entrancing like no other. Get one. I'm liking these with electronic more than the $350 Pioneer HDJ2000 (maybe even the HE500, but it's been too long to really compare); why does nobody talk about these anymore? Comparing them to my Realistic Pro 50 was definitely a mistake; the RP50s are much brighter and are no comparison for pure fun-ness. I'm going to be crying at the post office.

Time to free up some cash and steal that nice Marantz reciever my dad never uses. The price seems right and from what you and other are saying, it looks like these will give me what I want. I'll keep an eye out for a pair and hopefully money will work out.

They usually go for about $70, which is pretty criminal, yet fantastic for us. Even out of my crappy EMU 0204 they're sublime. I'm going to try to find a way to buy these off the person that lent them to me. He has his SA5000s to keep him company; he should be fine. ;) But my next purchase is definitely an HD650, contrary to everything I've said before. I really want a dark headphone, and there's nothing that sounds like an HD650, and since they only seem to be getting more expensive, I might as well bite as soon as possible (so...Christmas).
