This game was AMAZING. It changed the way I looked at multiplayer games. The story was pretty fun, and the multiplayer kept me going back to play with my friends.

Halo 2 consumed most of my time after release. I wanted nothing more than to get better at it. The skulls were an amazing touch to the single player, along with a well developed story line. The clan system was unlike any game that has been made, including to this point. The ranking system was tough, but fair. After reaching my max of 42 and staying stable, the game was STILL fun to play. The custom games were even better; players were coming up with amazing games to play. The best game in the series.

Destroyed my faith in Bungie. The story line was nowhere near what I had expected. The jump from H1 to H2 was awesome, but H2 to H3 did not impress me at all. Although the graphics were better, the multiplayer lost its essence. They tried to hard to improve a game that was already near perfect how it was. Add in how broken the multiplayer was in the early months and it made this game unplayable for me. The real kicker was the ranking system: why was it changed? It was PERFECT the way it was. Now, 50s are very easy to come by, getting to the highest XP ranks were made simple by boosting, and there were hiding spots galore. After a couple months of play, I couldn't stand to look at the game again. I went back to Halo 2 shortly after. The ONLY positive memory I have of this game is the original hunt for the IWHBYD skull. That's it.
