Yeah, unfortunately it's not like in CoD: Black ops where you could edit your name and zombie games, guess they went with a different approach to be less modifiable.

Sorry, don't know much about modding. So is the GPD file the full game? And have anyone tested it to confirm it?

As far as I know, this is probably just a brand new GPD file, and as you complete the game it fills up with information and gets links with your profile online and off, but we'll see once the game comes out.
