I've gotten a lot clearer quality with a Dazzle than an Easy Cap. If you can show me a video that can top my Dazzle's quality, I'll believe it.
Here's what I can achieve with a Dazzle while rendering with Sony Vegas Pro 8:

Also, in that video, there is a little bit of video noise around the lettering due to Youtube's horrendous compression techniques, it's perfect while playing the video offline.

Here's a video I made 3 years ago with Easycap and for $10 I don't think it looks that bad
I used Easycap and the program it came with
TheKnight video quality looks better but then again I did buy mine 3 years ago so by the looks of his video the quality has improved a lot and its still cheap as dirt

I recently used an easycap DC60. Not bad for £12.
This does NOT support PAL 60 in colour. get the DC60+. Same price.
Sample of the DC60. (Test)

-TheKnight-, just watching the first 10 seconds I saw awkward pixel ratio stretching, motion blur, and interlacing lines.
Ah, the video is private. I was using it for testing purposes. I'm making it public now.
(by the way, that's my little cousin playing, excuse the failed care package attempts)

I test out new settings every time Youtube updates its compression. It usually makes it harder and harder to get good quality off of a standard definition file.
I think I've nailed a good setup with my Dazzle, don't you think? It only took about a month of experimenting after the update >.<

Kibblre wrote Dazzle has some the best quality for standard definition (best option is to use an S-Video setup), but the Hauppage HD PVR is the best for HD recording.
For the record, Dazzle DVD Recorder = capture card.
I have a Dazzle and I love it. Just make sure you have good memory on your computer. If you are looking for a good quality for HD then get an HD PVR, but the best quality you are going to get on any cap card is going to come from a BlackMagic Pro. Easily the best out there today.

I would get a Hauppage, but I don't record all to often anymore, so the Dazzle does fine.
