You have the same chance of getting banned for playing the legitimate copy early than a pirate copy Microsoft can't detect your playing a Pirate game due to C4eva's LT Plus v3.0 firmware its safe as long as you don't play it online weeks early then you will be fine

there are codes within the printed copy so Microsoft know you have not got a pirate copy, theres 2 different disk types you can only put a pirate copy of a game on a certain type of disk and because the the code in the pirate copy "isnt valid" Microsoft detects it. so you wont get banned you will only get reset a day before release so its fair.

I can assure you Microsoft use Dual Layer discs to store the game on the disc. Microsoft cannot tell in mass amounts if you're playing the game illegally or not - not on lt 3.0 anyway. The guy 'banj0' is correct in the means that you have just the same chance of a ban if you go online early with the retail copy as you do playing on a DVD-DL - noting that it passes quality checks of course. If they could of done it, they would of done it last dash update - not saying they can't, just saying this LT3.0 must be hard. After all, it is the 'silver bulled'. Yes the type of disc can be identified however, the chance of them picking you is just too unlikey and its not even known if they are picking anyone.
