i just installed a new hard drive for my brothers computer and i was just wandering what this was for : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] +REP for the answer

You need to get a better look at it for us to tell anything. If you pull it out and take a picture of it we would get farther.

And on another note, why is this information so important? It is a older piece of hardware to start so why do you need to know what it is?
