when PM'ng someone there is an outbox and a sent box whats the difference

Sent means the message is gone to the receiver. Outbox means the message was sent but it was not transmitted to the receiver and it is still in the outbox.

All messages you send will stay in the outbox until the other person reads it!

So sentbox means that they have read it.
