Hey guys. I'm looking at getting somebody/ a company to build a custom gaming laptop for me. I've been on pcspecialist.co.uk and got a quote for my ideal laptop for 1200 GBP. With that I'll get a quad core i7 processor, 16gb ram, 500gb hdd and windows 8. I'm not very good with graphics cards though and I don't really understand which ones have what capabilities.
The question is, what graphics card do you recommend for me if I want to run COD, TF2 and Minecraft on high quality?
Also, the ones available on the site are:
-NVIDEA GeForce GTX 670M - 1.5gb
-NVIDEA GeForce GTX 675M - 2.0gb
-NVIDEA GeForce GTX 680M - 4.0gb
Thanks

Don't get Windows 8 for gaming, It's aimed more towards touch screen computers, I'd stick with windows 7.

Thanks, I'll take that advice having looked at the fact you can't play minecraft on windows 8. Haha

okay, i have a few suggestions.
1st. 16 GB of RAM might be a little bit of overkill
2nd. have you thought about your power supply? putting that much in a laptop is going to really need a good battery
3rd. have you looked at higher GHZ i5's ? the i7 family is usually stupid overpriced
check this website out, they also have video card info

Thanks, I'll take that advice on board. So with what I'm thinking of getting, what kind of power supply do you think I need?
Thanks

tbh power supplies are power supplies, it just depends on how much power your laptop will need to run
im not really sure about laptops, but my desktop PC with these parts [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
wouldnt run properly because the power supply is just barely good enough
your laptop isnt too far from this
EDIT: i recently changed parts, but i was at 475 W
so your charger might end up being quite the brick
