You should have done your homework before getting one man, but there is still time to learn how to use it, i can't help you but looking around forums like this will help you.

I want a jtag and I'm going to read up on all this before I buy one but I suppose it doesn't really matter just read about it all now, good luck with it all

JTAG Setup Tutorial for Modding Cod

You are probably wanting to mod CoD so I will just cover that for now.

Stuff you will need before starting.

-A USB or transfer cable
-A program to extract RAR files (Recommend WinRAR)
-Horizon

1. Setting Up XeXMenu
First you will need to download XeXMenu1.2
XeXMenu1.1 Download

Once downloaded, right click on the file and select extract here.

Now go to your xbox and plug in the USB.
Go to System\Memory\ and format your USB (*Formatting will erase all data on the device)

Once its formatted go back to your Computer, plug in the USB, and start up Horizon.
Wait for your USB to show up, then right click on the folder called Demos and select Inject File.
Go to where you downloaded and extracted the XeXMenu1.1 folder and select the file C0DE99990F586558.
It should be in the following directory:
wherever you saved xexmenu\xexmenu_v1.1\LIVE\C0DE9999\00080000\(HERE)

Once it has successfully transferred to your USB it should show up under the Demo folder on Horizon.

On the xbox, plug in your USB and transfer the Demo to your Xbox hard drive.

2. Putting the Game on Your Hard Drive
Start up XeXMenu and Press RB, and you should see Hdd1: at the top right. If not press X and go down to Hdd1: and press A.

Now press Y and go down to Create, name the folder Games.
Select the folder you just made, press Y, and create a new folder with the name of the game you are about to put on the hard drive.
Select that folder, press Y, and go down to CopyDVD. The disc tray should open, just put the game in and select Ok.

3. Modding the Game
I am guessing you want to mod MW2, so I will just write out how to mod it. If anyone wants to know how to mod other Cods just ask.

First download the correct title update. (TU7)

Now download a modded .dll file and the matching default_mp.xex
I recommend JTShock's TU7 Mod Menu.

There should be a text file that will have the download for the matching default_mp.xex, download that also.

Once you have all this downloaded, plug your USB back into your computer, go to My Computer, right click on your USB, and format it to FAT32.

Now put the TU, default_mp.xex, and .dll file on the USB.

Plug the USB into your JTAG, start up XeXMenu, go to USB1: and press Y over the Title Update.
Select copy, press X and go to HDD1:, select the folder named Cache, and paste it in there.
Then copy the default_mp.xex and the .dll file into the folder where you copied MW2.


Congrats, you are now ready to infect yourself through System Link.
