Ok I have a question since I never done any of this. Do I have to back up everything on my PC BEFORE I put my HDD on a new unbanned console? and if so couldn't I just take everything off the HDD put it on the PC then put my HDD on my new console then reformat it, then transfer all my data I put on my PC back to the HDD and it work fine?

Only problem is I'm going to try to exchange my Xbox at Gamestop today but I don't want to loose my achievements and stuff since I just got Mass Effect 2 so if I need a transfer kit fast I need to know lol.

Also lets say I put the HDD on an unbanned console like before I get a transfer kit and I play games like normal. When I do get my transfer kit and I hook my HDD to my PC will the files be corrupt? or will they still work?
