XperiaAir wroter00t wrotehow so? For your budget i don't recommend that you build a PC unless you can get student discount for your OS. If you do build then just use linux, I recommend Ubuntu, best linux based OS there is.XperiaAir wrote [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] this is the best thing you will get for that price, it will do good and the RAM is upgradable, almost bought this PC but found a little more expensive PC with a better GPU
For $600 that's actually dismal.
Compare it to the $600 build in this guide: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
The difference in performance will be gigantic between the APU and the i3-3220 + 7850. There is no price point where it is better to buy a prebuilt PC. Also Ubuntu is not bad, but to call it the best is ridiculous and if you feel like dealing with Wine, go ahead. I wouldn't put any distro of GNU/Linux on a gaming machine like this as the main OS in a million years.

I may have been unclear, but I meant that calling Ubuntu the best GNU/Linux distro is ridiculous. Mint, Debian, other members of the Ubuntu family, etc. It's a good one, though.
