That's not RAID.

OP, get an SSD if you want faster booting times, no noise, no heat, almost zero freezing, and all around improved user experience since everything will feel a lot faster.

A 5000 rpm drive is not ''good''.

Such an ignorant comment. It's obvious you've never used an SSD if you even think they compare to a generic hard drive or they're not worth it, especially for the $90 you pay compared to a years ago prices.
Best answer so far, thank you for the help. I am only planning on using the SSD to put Vegas 12, my OS, and video's that I am actually going to upload onto the drive. Also should I get water cooling for my PC, I havent had any heat problems yet, but I want to have my CPU not overheating and lighting my desk on fire with my monitors.

Putting your O/S and a heavy program like Vegas 12 onto the SSD is ideal since everything will open up faster and feel smoother. An SSD is not a mass storage device so you're going to want to record your videos onto your HDD.

By water-cooling I assume you mean those closed loop CPU cooling solutions like a Corsair H60 for example. The problem is they're junk - yes, all of them - JUNK! Overpriced and underpowered. A $20 Hyper 212 gets just as good of performance as an H60 that's double the price. Also, you have the chance of a leak. They are not worth it what so ever. You're PC is not going to overheat as long as it's not filled with dust and covered in a blanket. If you want to make sure, download Speccy and load up a game - if your CPU/GPU is under 80c, it's more than fine.

Also, I'd recommend a 128gb Crucial M4. It's one of the most popular SSD's out and is known for low failure rates and constant firmware upgrades to improve the speeds.

I clean my PC regularly, and i have 3 fans on my PC, one on the heat sinks of my GPU one on the back of it, and one for my CPU. I have only had this PC since august and i am still upgrading it. I rarely have heavy loads with my PC except when rendering and livestreaming with XSplit (Very demanding). Thanks for the recommendation with the SSD. Also i do record all my footage to my HD and in a day of recording gameplay i usually have about 50-100GB of unwanted footage on my HD. I clean out all my videos weekly so i can make room for more for the next week.

This is so far from even coming close. Most SSD's are reading at over 500MB/second. a 7200RPM HDD if im not mistaken is reading at barely 100MB/s.

SSD's are very overpriced, but are amazing for installing your OS on. Takes me 7 seconds to cold boot.
