Double Spaced to make Easier to Read

2012 was supposed to be the end of the world. Instead, it was the beginning of ours. Halo 4, despite

being the seventh or eighth game in the Halo series (depending on how you count them), was our first game. That is to

say, our first-ever fully fledged title, built from the ground up creatively and technologically. So let me save you the

trouble of trolling my statement: We have a lot to learn. We made a lot of mistakes. We can do better. And we know

this, and we will. But I dont want to spend the first moments of the year thinking about the negatives, because frankly,

I am incredibly proud of both the team and the game that team created. And for a first effort, it wasnt half bad.

Stepping into Bungies oversized shoes would have been difficult, even for a well-established team. The challenge of

wrangling that engine, that universe and that community was dizzying, even withering. Four years ago when our

charter began, the challenge of starting the seed of a development team and then creating a sequel to Halo terrified us.

A small group of us names you know, like Kiki Wolfkill, Bonnie Ross, Kenneth Scott Josh Holmes and other characters

who have moved on to different projects, different places was tasked with doing something that was almost

impossible. But the team grew. And we learned. And were still learning. And the game arrived and it succeeded. Halo 4

is the best and fastest-selling Halo game in the series. It won critical acclaim. It won awards, from Best Graphics at the

VGAs to Game of the Year at the Inside Gaming Awards. We altered the engine. We expanded the universe. We

innovated in storytelling, technology, and even marketing. It wasnt flawless by any stretch of the imagination, but by

most objective criteria, it was a resounding success. So we know we have a lot to do. And we know we have a lot to

learn. But we also know that we now have the capacity, the teamwork, the technology and the experience to do much

better next time. But my point is this: If youd asked me three or four years ago if we thought wed be where we are

now, I would have looked doubtfully at you and said, Thats a lot to ask. But the team, through miracles of

collaboration and individual contribution and lakes of blood and tears waded into the challenge with gusto and

worked obscene hours with passion and verve to get it done. And now were beginning to really understand what it

is. I think that, perhaps perversely, rather than being looked at askance with doubt and cynicism, in some corners

weve been given extra latitude the only benefit of low expectations. And then the ability to exceed those

expectations. There are a ton of things we wish we'd done better: Features that didnt make it into the final game.

Glitches that emerged. Missteps made. DLC fiascos. Communication breakdowns. But there were things that went

astonishingly well the creation of a genuinely competitive AAA studio chief among them. A collection of talent and

souls that can do something genuinely amazing on this and next-generation hardware. The overhaul of an amazing

game engine but one that really needed to be overhauled and an amassed education on systems, people, code and

audience that will stand us in great stead for the future. Some of the high points of the last few years have been

products as well as people like Halo: Anniversary and Forward Unto Dawn. There have been amazing events Halo

Fest, the E3 debut, ComicCon all blurring into a sea of faces, excitement, light, and noise. But the most important

aspect of our success, and our efforts now and in the future, has been this community a demanding, imaginative,

engaged, vocal, varied and intelligent swarm of personalities, groups and individuals, each with subtly to radically

different interests in this vast and varied universe were charged with. That isnt lip service, nor is it pandering. You

guys pay for the privilege of playing our game, and you have every right to have a voice in its development. It may not

have ended up precisely the way you imagined there are simply too many voices and perspectives to make all of the

people happy, all of the time but we think of the community as a direct and democratic extension of the team and,

indeed, of the development process. A litmus test, a pH strip and a sounding board for ideas and innovations, you are

the tension between the need for change and evolution, and the necessity of inertia. Technically, this should be a

retrospective, but its safe to say Im more excited about the future than the past. Excited about what this team is

already working on. Excited about what this team is capable of. And excited about the future of Halo. A future we want

you to be a part of. A future were building for you.

While Franks words present the perfect note to end on, Id like to share a little about the future he spoke of. One of the best parts about being blessed with the caretaker role of such an expansive universe is the opportunity for exploration, and books play an important role in that. Halo: Primordium came out in early 2012, and Halo: Silentium, the third novel in the Forerunner Saga written by Greg Bear, is slated to be released on March 19, 2013. Here is a little about it, for the fiction fans amongst you:
In Halo: Cryptum, Greg Bear began a three-book arc set in the era of the Forerunners, the ancient and enigmatic creators and builders of the Halos, which continued in Halo: Primordium. Now, in the last years of the Forerunner Empire, chaos rules. The Flood, a horrifying shape-changing parasite, has arrived in force, aided by unexpected allies. Internal strife within the ecumene has desperately weakened Forerunner defenses.

Only the Ur-Didact and the Librarian, a husband and wife pushed into desperate conflict, hold the keys to salvation. Facing the consequences of a profound tragedy, one of them must commit a great atrocity in order prevent an unmatched evil from dominating the entire universe.

Hey Guys the Crimson Map pack came out on the 10th of December but if you want to try it without buying now its your time. As of now 343 is allowing a trial of the map pack from the 10th-the 18th(tuesday). Really its a cover up for the glitch, but who cares its free.

Halo 4's episodic co-op campaign Spartan Ops will go on hiatus next week, concluding in January with the final five episodes of season one. Microsoft is also teaming up with Virgin gaming on the "Halo 4 Infinity Challenge," which has a V8-powered 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor (pictured), along with an appearance in a future Halo game, as its grand prize.

The tournament begins December 17 and will track War Games and Spartan Ops leaderboards, with over 2,800 prizes available. The qualifier phase will run until January 10.

Directly Off 343 Halo Waypoint

We are pleased to announce, just days away from the worldwide Halo 4 launch and the first MLG Halo 4 tournament in Dallas, the Competitive Skill Rank system in Halo 4. The CSR will appear post-launch in an update to Halo Waypoint and associated Smartglass applications.

When will it launch?
The short version is CSR will launch early next year when its ready. We have an extensive post-launch plan for Halo 4, including DLC, playlist updates, and title updates. As soon as we have a confirmed launch date for the Waypoint update that includes CSR, well make an announcement. Set your expectations for release timing appropriately since this will require delicate tuning, testing and implementation for Waypoint Web, Waypoint Console and Smartglass integration and is a feature designed specifically for the competitive community.

What is it?
At Halo 4s launch, the competitive skill system will measure your performance against other players in Halo 4 War Games and use this information to match you up against opponents of comparable skill ranks. When the CSR system is fully implemented post-launch, Waypoint will assign each player a visible and detailed Skill Rank, viewable in the player profile section of Halo Waypoint.

How will it rank me?
All players will be ranked on a per-hopper basis, so, for example, you will have a unique CSR for your Slayer Pro games vs. your CTF games. CSR is currently planned to use a familiar and easy to understand 1-50 scale (subject to change or alteration). Your CSR will go up and down based on match outcomes.

Which playlists will support CSR?
All competitive playlists will support and track CSR. As the playlists will continuously change post-launch, the exact list of playlists that will support CSR will be determined when the system is ready to drop.

Will a CSR be assigned to me once the system launches? Or do I need to start fresh?
Matchmaking and hoppers will be tracking and analyzing data from Day 1, and when the final settings for CSR are in place, well make the call on whether to use existing data as a baseline for your CSR, or to start everyone fresh in new playlists.

Why the delay?
We know how important skill rank is, and we take skill integrity very seriously we want to make sure weve taken the time to test, tune, and balance the CSR system in a live environment, and identify problems and potential exploits before launching the system publically.

Taking the time to test and tune the system ensures we can deliver a very accurate and meaningful skill rank, and gives our competitive playlists time to mature to for optimize a wide range of playlist and game settings.

Specilizations Locked

Just because you have a code does not mean you unlock them now. You must be level 50 in order to use them. Once level 50 go to:

Step 1: Go to the Halo menu screen(The same place you change your Armor,Emblem,etc.)
Step 2: Scroll up until you see the part that says specialization's.
Step 3: Click on it and choose anyone you want.

Once chosen you must complete those specilizations before moving to the next. When you reach level 130 you will be stuck with whatever specilization name you choose last.

You can Unlock this armor by completing campaign on legendary on solo or co-op.

It is a commendation so if you dont get it check your commendations. Make sure your connected to live when finishing each mission to get the commendation.

2.Go to player
3. If your campaign doesn't say complete click on it and find the ones that do not say 1 out of 1.
Then you have to redo them either by co op or solo to get your armor.

The max rank you can achieve is 50 but with specializations it adds 10 levels each specialization, there are 8 so that is a total level of 130.

The credit cap for this game is anywhere from 75k-200k XP a day. You will be allowed to get more exactly 24 hours from cap.
If you have double XP you will still have it even if you play online.

How to disable xp-limit:
Go to network and set it to system link
Go to the main menu and click on waypoint
When on waypoint start up halo from here
On halo 4 got to custom games and start up a map and game type(Doesnt matter which map or game type)
Quickly change your network to xbox live while screen is fading.
Game will start then end if done correctly. If you dashboard you will have to do again

If you do get banned it will mostly be 48hr or Xp reset. If you do again its perma ban.

For any modding its an automatic perma ban of account or console.

Once getting to level 50 you can pick a specialization. If you play online by November 20 you will unlock all 6 by default when available but if you don't you have to rank up one to the max to get the next one.(There are only two available right now).

To put on skins you have to first redeem your code. After redeeming check your armory. If its weapons go to loadouts and select primary. The skin acts like a new gun. Example: If you redeem Artic you will see the regular battle rifle and the Artic battle rifle. Fo armors its about the same. Example: Forest would have Hazop forest and Hazop. Put on Hazop forest to get Hazop forest skin. Do for rest of armor not just helmet.

The easiest way to rank up is to go on the first mission on spartan ops. Get a good team of four and drive the warthogs(Use Gauss or Rocket). Drive around and kill all the covenant. Complete mission and get anywhere from 3000-5000XP.

Easy Explanation on how to enter

First off make sure you have halo waypoint. Now launch halo waypoint up. It should say press start to enter so click start. After it should come to the main menu with news and information. Press "X" on your controller. it should start loading up into a new section. You should see three slide. Click the one that says Requiem archive 1. You should see three more slides after clicking. Now heres where the codes come in. Go to the raider armor section off my topic. For example click the link for raider helmet. You should see a bunch of symbols. Keep them on screen because you will be copying them into the xbox. Back in waypoint, when u still see those three sections that say shoulders spec spec torso and spec helmet click 'X' on your controller again. It should take u to the same looking symbols as the raider symbol code. Copy the symbols in by clicking the matching symbols on xbox. If it blinks green u got it. You must complete the first three missions of spartan ops.

After waking up open your pod manually and head straight. Before heading into the control room you will see a catwalk , jump down and underneath you will see a panel.

After killing the two Hunters, go inside the building and head down the long hallway. Before going up the ramp and onto the elevator, check underneath the main ramp for this terminal.

After killing the Promethean you experience distortion from your helmet visor. Cortana contacts you about causing the distortion. After this exchange, a rocky ramp leads upwards into a Forerunner spire. Its at the very Base

Halfway through the level you will come across UNSC Forces that came from Infinity. After the cutscene with these marines, turn around and access this Terminal inside their Forerunner structure holdout before heading back into the jungle.

After you talk to the Librarian and get Cortana back, you will have to fight promethians. Go through the door at the end of this room and turn right in the hallway to find this Terminal. Dont go on the elevator until you find the terminal.

This Terminal is in the third and final tower you pilot the Pelican to. Once entered you will take an elevator to where the didact is. You will see a path with several light bridges, but the path forks at one tower in three directions. Take the fork that leads to a dead end with this terminal on the rear side of the tower. The fork in the direction of the waypoint will lead you to an elite with a fuel rod gun. This means youve gone the wrong way.

When you are on the asteroid with the artifact, you will be directed to a door across the way on a platform with a single Mantis. Before going inside the airlock door, follow a tube-like passageway underneath the platform to find this Terminal embedded in the asteroid's rocky core.

Once you touch down on the Didact ship, you will fnd alot of Promethians. When you first here Didact speak about stopping you by force, you will make a U turn through the passages with the first few enemies. In the U is a glowing blue set of spires. A terminal is nestled among them. This is right before Cortana advises you to turn left

At the beginning of the level go to the bridge. After talking to Keyes and getting control of the chief, find the glowing red computer console to find the terminal.

After entering the underground tunnel, go ahead like normal, but instead of jumping the crevice like normal, find the small side tunnel. in the that area and you will find a terminal at the end.

After defeating the Zealot on the Bridge, just stand on the raised platform in the center.

When heading for the Security Building, you will encounter two hunters in the center of the island. The terminal will be located on the wall of the structure in the center of this area.

Toward the end of the level you will come to the Pyramid with the Control Room at the top. You will see a long, flat piece of the building running straight down the middle of it and going into a crevice in the ground below. Go inside this crevice and you'll find a terminal mixed in with a lot of ammo and supplies.

After making your way to the Elevator that will allow you to get out of the underground facility, you'll find the Terminal above the doorway you came out of. It can be reached by activating the Elevator, then you must time it correctly to jump on the ledge where the terminal is.(Elevator can be used again)

On the third floor, you'll come to a room with a large circular room, the Index platform will be above it. Go right and crouch jump to jump over the barriers you will see a room that looks like the other ones, but is away from the actual campaign.

In the control room at the beginning of the level, go around the circular platform and you'll find the terminal across from the control console.

After find Keyes is taken into the Proto: kill the Covenant and Flood that attempt to ambush you, than search the crevices that look sunk on the side of the raised platform the terminal will be in one.

Play the level like normal until you reach the Cryogenic Storage Bay where Sentinels will be busy fighting the Flood. Find a glowing control center on the wall, and thats where the terminals at.
