If you had no plans to use those resources, you shouldn't have bought a server that big.

The only reason I bought one this big was because I got it cheap off of ebay. I knew I didn't need 12 gb of ram in the beginning, but it ended up being cheaper than a server with 4 gb ram.

I'm assuming you're running this in your house then?

If so, you wont be able to do much anyways. Your network speed will be the limit, not your hardware.

Yes, I am running it in my house. My speed isn't the best-50 down 10 up.

10 up really isn't enough to run a server. And a lot of times, if your ISP finds out you are running a server from your home connection, they'll cut off your internet or limit your speed.

Minecraft isn't too bad on internet, but any web server and especially Gmod are really network intensive.
