I know this topic is just gonna turn into an argument but must be said.
I'm not really taking anyone's side here because he has done good things for the game and believe it or not his very early stuff is pretty good. He's also a great freestyler. If you know his history he's pretty badass. He got big at the age of 12! I'm not gonna give you a biography on the guy but being one of the best freestylers in the game at the age of 12 is pretty insane. He pretty much created the mixtape game. So for all of you who love your free music you can thank Lil Wayne.
But unfortunately he's a sellout at this point. In mainstream society he makes Hip Hop look bad. I don't consider him a rapper anymore though. He's a pop star whether or not you Lil Wayne fanboys want to admit it or not. Lyrically his awful now also. He was fake from the start anyways. He was rich when he was 13. He by no means had a tough life. And he raps strictly about girls, weed, and money.
I've showed you guys both sides of the argument. Now can we please stop arguing over him?

Thats kind of recent.
Look back to the old Wayne around SQ 4 and you can see kind of where he was at his
best lyrically.
I completely agree with you though, I mean now I hate Wayne because half of the time
he has senseless punchlines and hes a pop star now. But he definitely had skill to be
in the game at 12 years old.
But you cant expect anything because a lot of artist in the game have changed.
