Scorestreaks in depth
A new feature in Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is the score streak. It is basically a modification of the kill streak system of the older parts in the series but this time accomplishing other objectives also adds to the streak. Different objectives have different values to contribute to the streak, meaning certain objectives will reward you more than others.

Objectives that contribute to the scorestreak

Kill

Assist

Defending a teammate with an Assault Shield

Capturing a flag in Domination/Capture the Flag

Planting a bomb in Search and Destroy/Demolition/Sabotage

Defusing a bomb in Search and Destroy/Demolition/Sabotage

Capturing a HQ in Headquarters

Destroying a HQ in Headquarters

Destroying enemy Score Streak Rewards

The streak can be used to redeem rewards which give you an edge over the competition. Rewards include vehicles, weapons and equipment. Here is a complete list of the Score Streak Rewards available in Black Ops II:

Primary weapons
As it is with every modern first-person-shooting title these days, Black Ops 2 comes with a huge arsenal of weaponry.

The Create a Class system offers you the freedom to create your own set of loadouts and quick-pick them before jumping into a map. There are no restrictions while making a custom class, youre free to add in whatever weapon youd like to use.

This off course means that you should have pre-knowledge of every single weapon in the list to make your job easier.

Our weapons and equipment guide serves that purpose.

All weapons are divided between three categories:

Primary Weapons

Secondary Weapons

Equipment

Equipping and then playing with a weapon will earn you XP points that in turn will unlock new attachments for that weapon only. If youre interested in unlocking attachments for another gun, then youll have to start from scratch with that weapon alone.

Primary weapons are sub divided into six more divisions:

Assault Rifles

Sub-Machine Guns

Light Machine Guns

Sniper Rifles

Shot Guns

Assault Shields

Assault rifles

These guns are the true workhorse of Blacks Ops 2. They can be effective at any range but are best suited when used for medium ranged combat.

On top of that, they also provide ample fire rate and mobility. Furthermore, they are useful on any given map on the multiplayer of the game.

M8A1: Its a four round burst rifle. The burst can be fired in quick succession.

Scar-H: This rifle offers increased range and damage.

AN-94: This is a fully automatic rifle. The first two rounds of each burst are fired at a faster rate.

SIG556: This is a tree round burst rifle. It offers a long range and even more accuracy for its longer range.

Type 25: It comes with a high rate of fire but also has moderate recoil to it.

SA-58: This is a semi automatic rifle. It does pack a punch and even has lighter recoil to it.

SMR: A semi automatic rifle. It is truly a beast. Does the most amount of damage per round and can do that on a long range as well. King of rifles in the game.

M27: Fully automatic rifle. Offers the most mobility in the assault rifles department.

MTAR: A jack of all trades. Offers everything you would want in a rifle. However, it does not excel in any particular department.

Sub-Machine Guns

Rushing in and gunning everyone down, thats what SMG wielders should be thinking of. These weapons are extremely deadly in close-medium ranged and will burst down an opponent in the blink of an eye.

MP7: This is a fully automatic SMG PDW. It is a strong in all departments.

Skorpion Evo 3: The SMG with the highest fire rate in the game. However, it does not offer much of anything else.

PDW 57: As the name suggest it is a fully automatic personal defense weapon. It has the largest ammo capacity in this category. Furthermore, it packs a fair amount of punch, for an SMG that is.

Chicom CQB: This is three round burst sub machine gun.

MSMC: This is a fully automatic SMG. It does the most amount of damage in this category and even has reduced recoil.

Vector K10: It is a fully automatic SMG. This gun has little to no recoil thanks to the recoil mitigation technology.

Light Machine Guns

These are the real damage dealing weapons in your arsenal. They fire bullets at an ungodly rate, and their magazines never seem to run out of ammo. They not only penetrate armor but can also do so from a very long range.

MK 48: It does a fair amount of damage at long ranges as well.

QBB LSW: This one has the fastest rate of fire in the LMGs category.

LSAT: A very well rounded LMG but does not excel in any one particular area.

HAMR: It has a mechanism that reduces fire rate over time and becomes more accurate over long ranges.

Sniper Rifles

Sniper Rifles are extremely useful for picking off enemies in single shots over long ranges. By the time the enemy realizes your exact position, youll have gone through most of their infantry division.

Ballista: A bolt action sniper rifle that comes with a higher handling speed. Guarantees a kill almost every time you shoot someone on their chest or above.

SVU-AS: A semi automatic sniper rifle that offers a high fire rate but with less recoil. Damage done is a bit low overall.

DSR 50: A bolt action sniper rifle that seems the ideal choice for any sniper.

XPR 50: A semi automatic sniper rifle that has good damage but comes with increased recoil.

Shotguns

Shotguns are meant for close ranged combat and almost guarantees a kill every time you fire one at an enemy standing close to you. These guns are ideal to use when you want clear out rooms and other such close quarter places quickly.

R-870 MCS: This is a pump action shotgun. It deals a fair amount of damage and does even offer a bit of range.

M1216: A fully automatic shotgun but has an even shorter range.

SAIGA-12: A semi-automatic shotgun that is lethal at short range.

KSG: It is a very powerful shotgun and can do great damage even at medium range.

Assault Shield
It is a bullet-proof shield which can also provide cover where natural covers are not available.

Secondary weapons, equipment, and attachments
These behemoths are used solely for taking out aircraft, vehicles, weeding out campers from their hiding holes or just taking down a large group of enemies in one go.

SMAW: You can choose to lock-on to a vehicle or fire at will.

FHJ 18 AA: This one locks on to a vehicle.

RPG: Simply fire at will.

Crossbow: This crossbow fires a bolt which detonate a few seconds after impact.

Pistols

When everything is extinguished, a soldier falls back to his trusty pistols.

Kap 40: A fully automatic pistol that has reduced recoil.

Tac 45: It is very, very effective at close ranges.

B23R: It is a three round burst pistol that has moderate recoil.

Executioner: A double action revolver pistol that fires shotgun shells.

Five-Seven: It is a semi automatic pistol that has a large magazine capacity and is very accurate as well.

Equipment is divided into three categories

Lethal

Tactical

Attachments

Lethal

Lethal includes an array of weapons designed to guard your back or take out a large number of enemies in one go.

Grenades: Handy for taking out a cluster of enemies or clearing out a fox-hole.

Tomahawk: This is a combat axe. Use it to chop of some heads.

Semtex: Sticks to just about anything and then blows up that area to dust.

C4: Once planted, you can detonate the C4 by a push of a button or just fire your weapon at the charges.

Bouncing Betty: This is a proximity mine. Once activated it flies up into the air and then explodes, causing havoc in a 360 degree area around it. You can avoid the damage it causes by just simply ducking.

Claymore: These mines blow up in the direction they are facing once an enemy comes close enough to trigger its sensors.

Tactical

These weapons serve to fulfill certain purposes asides from just dealing damage.

Smoke Grenade: Unleashes a cloud of smoke on landing, providing cover or blinding the enemy.

Concussion: A stun weapon which leaves your enemies dazed and confused.

EMP Grenade: Disables or even destroys enemy equipment.

Sensor Grenade: Shows nearby enemies on your radar when thrown.

Flashbang: Blinds and disorients the enemies when they are caught in its blast radius.

Shock Charge: Electrocutes foes that get near it.

Black Hat: Allows you to become a master hacker, allowing you to hack enemy equipment or disabling their vehicles.

Tactical Insertion: Lets you choose your own spawn point. Be warned it can be destroyed by your enemies.

Attachments

These are the attachments that tailor your stock weapon to your specific needs. They can be extremely useful depending on the circumstances.

ACOG: A scope which enhances your zoom.

Adjustable Stock: Lets you move faster while aiming your weapon.

Ballistics CPU: Reduces your sway when aiming with snipers.

Dual Band: This is a night vision scope.

Dual Wield: Allows you to carry two pistols. However, you cannot toggle iron-sight when using it.

Extended Clip: Increases the size of your magazine.

Fast Mag: Decreases the time it takes to reload your weapon.

FMJ: With this your bullets can penetrate thicker surfaces.

Foregrip: Increases stability reducing recoil.

Grenade Launcher: When equipped you can shoot grenades from your gun too.

Hybrid Optic: Lets you toggle between a red dot and an ACOG scope.

Iron Sight: Replaces the scope of your sniper with an iron sight.

Laser Sight: Increases your hip fire accuracy but also makes you more visible to your foes.

Long Barrel: Increase the range of your weapon.

Millimeter Scanner: Allows you to see enemies through materials.

Quickdraw: Increases your aiming speed.

Rapid Fire: Increases your fire rate by 20%.

Reflex: Replaces your weapons iron sight with a laser dot.

Select Fire: Allows you to witch between burst and automatic on the fly.

Suppressor: Reduces weapon noise. It also prevents you from showing up on the enemy radar every time you shoot.

Tactical Knife: A knife in your other hand makes you melee attack faster and more lethal as well.

Perks in detail and what each one does
Perks are unique abilities in the multiplayer mode that give players small advantages over their adversaries and provide deeper class customization.

There are three slots and by default, you can get only one perk per slot. However, if the need be, then you can opt for wildcards, which allows you two perks in one slot.

Note that this will consume more of your allocation points, which could otherwise be used on weapon attachments and other equipment.

There are no Pro Perks in Black Ops 2 and perks dont enhance your weapon either; you have to use weapon attachments for better weapon stats.

Perks For Slot 1

Blind Eye: AI controlled Scorestreaks dont target you. However you are targetable once the player takes manual control.

Flak Jacket: Increased resistance against explosions meaning you take less damage from grenades and bombs.

Ghost: UAVs dont detect you as long as you keep moving.

Hardline: Gives you extra points on objectives allowing you to get Scorestreaks rewards faster.

Light Weight: Increased movement speed and you take no damage from falls.

Perks For Slot 2

Cold Blooded: You cannot be targeted by enemy targeting technology such as Dual Band, Sensor Grenade, Target Finder, etc.

Fast Hands: You can swap weapons faster. Equipment and grenades can also be used faster which means you can throw back enemy grenades more effectively.

Hardwired: You arent affected by Counter UAVs and EMPs. However, even thought the EMP doesnt affect you, you still cant use Scorestreak rewards.

Scavenger: Enemies leave behind Scavenger bags which contain ammo and grenades.

Toughness: Reduces flinching when shot.

Perk Slot 3

Awareness: Makes enemy movement and noise four times louder.

Dead Silence: Reduces noise made by your movement.

Dexterity: You can get over obstacles and climb ladders faster. Also makes you recover faster from melee attacks and allows you to aim shortly after sprinting.

Engineer: You can see enemy equipment through walls. Also delays enemy traps triggered by you.

Extreme Conditioning: Allows you to sprint continuously for twice the distance you did before.

Tactical Mask: You are affected less by Flash Grenades, Concussion Grenades and Shock Charges

Wildcards

Perk 1 Greed: Level 4

Perk 2 Greed: Level 10

Perk 3 Greed: Level 13

Overkill: Level 16

Secondary Gunfighter: Level 19

Primary Gunfighter: Level 22

Tactician: Level 25

Danger Close: Level 28

More information on wildcards and what they do
Blacks Ops 2 introduces the Wildcards system, something designed to allow players to mix things up and modify existing class structures. You can have up to three Wildcards active at once but keep in mind that they take up one of your class slots each so its up to you to decide whether the tradeoff is worth it.

The Wildcards are listed as following:

Primary Gunfighter
Allows you to select a third attachment for your primary weapon.

Secondary Gunfighter
Similar to Primary Gunfighter, this allows you to choose a second attachment for your secondary weapon.

Overkill
Same as the Overkill perk from previous games, this Wildcard will enable you to equip two primary weapons at once.

Danger Close
Lets you equip two pieces of lethal equipment at once.

Perk 1 Greed
Allows you to select a second Perk 1

Perk 2 Greed
Allows you to select a second Perk 2

Perk 3 Greed
Allows you to select a second Perk 3

Tactician
Similar to Danger Close, this allows you pick two pieces of tactical equipment, but youll have to give up your lethal equipment.

Best loadouts for multiplayer
Call of Dutys legacy is, in fact, in the diversity of its multiplayer. Every recent title in the series boasts a huge arsenal of weaponry and provides players the freedom to choose their favorite items from that lot.

That said, it is also very important for players to pick the weapons best suited for either their roles, the game mode or the map. Pick the wrong perks or equipment and you might find yourself at a big disadvantage.

Players familiar with the Call of Duty series would have enough previous experience to familiarize with most of the weapons, perks, etc. offered. However, for those unfamiliar players here are some of our favorite ultimate custom loadouts.

I recommend the following for use and promise them to help you steamroll enemy players.

The Defensive Class

Primary Weapon: AN-94

Primary Attachment 1: Select Fire

Primary Attachment 2: Reflex Sight (With WildCard)

Secondary Weapon: Smaw or FHJ-18 AA

Lethal Grenade: Claymore

Tactical Grenade: Flashbang

Perk 1: Flak Jacket

Perk 2: Hard Wired

Perk 3: Awareness

Scorestreaks: UAV, Lightning Strike, Sentry Gun

Haters will refer to this class as the ultimate choice of campers, but I disagree. The AN-94 has a very high damage, and you can take down an enemy with a short burst (Select Fire) from a long range. The gun has low recoil when used in short bursts, and it is very easy to take down an assortment of enemies.

The problem here is that you have to settle in a good location with a line of sight to the rush of enemy players. The Claymore and Sentry Gun will provide good cover for you against enemies who might try to flank you. That said the Awareness perk will further help you in detecting any scurry of footsteps and nail those targets.

When played right, youll be practically a ghost. It will take a lot of deaths for them to realize where exactly youre situated, and by that time you would have racked your share of the kills.

I would suggest going with Select Fire as your primary attachment. If the need be, then you can always for another attachment with the wild card.

Behind Enemy Lines

Primary Weapon: Vector K10 or MSMC

Primary Attachment 1: Extended Clip

Primary Attachment 2: Laser Sight

Secondary Weapon: Ballistic Knife

Lethal: Frag

Tactical: Bouncing Betty

Perk 1: Lightweight

Perk 2: Toughness

Perk 3: Extreme Conditioning

Scorestreaks: UAV, Lightning Strike, Death Machine

For those wanting to rush right into the battle will need excessive mobility to surprise enemies. Lightweight and Extreme Conditioning will help you boost right into their lines and with the low recoil of Vector, it will be easy for anyone to take down a bunch of players. Even if they half-heartedly fire their weapons, Toughness will enable you to get the better of them.

The Invisible Sniper

Primary Weapon: DSR 50

Primary Attachment: Ballistics CPU

Secondary Weapon: KAP-40

Lethal: Claymore

Tactical: Smoke Grenade

Perk 1: Ghost

Perk 2: Cold Blooded

Perk 3: Awareness

Scorestreaks: Counter-UAV, Sentry Gun, Orbital VSAT

Everyone opts for the Sniper class in any FPS game. The DSR 50 is the ideal choice for snipers in this game. The bolt-action rifle will guarantee a confirmed kill every time you shoot an enemy above the chest. The Ballistics CPU will help reduce the sway of your crosshair. I wouldnt recommend you to go for an ACOG scope. I dont know why most people opt for it, but I find it really annoying.

Claymores are always important in covering your flank while you focus on locking-down an area. First, two perks will help you be invisible to the enemy on their radar. Awareness will always help you to listen in on any enemies running about. As long as your aim is true, and you take down your enemies in a single shot, absolutely no one will be able to find your position.

If you're found, you can always throw out a smoke grenade and relocate.

The Offensive Assaulter

Primary Weapon: Scar-H or Type 25

Primary Attachment: Millimeter Scanner or Foregrip

Secondary Weapon: RPG

Lethal Grenade: Grenade

Tactical Grenade: Flashbang or Concussion

Perk 1: Hardline

Perk 2: Scavenger

Perk 3: Engineer

Scorestreaks: Escort Drone , Lightning Strike, Stealth Chopper

SMG holders are not the only ones who can get into the red zone. A charging assaulter is actually deadlier than a SMG wielder because of the increased range.

The Millimeter Scanner can be helpful in alerting you of oncoming enemies who are behind obstacles or walls. However, the Foregrip will increase weapon stability making you spray people down.

If youre about to go down, then a blast from a RPG can always take some enemies with you to the hereafter. Ammo might be a problem, and the Scavenger will help you there. Hardline will get you those offensive score streaks in quick time. Consider this class to probably become a standard when the world jumps into every map.

The Ninja

Primary Weapon: PDW-57

Primary Attachment: Suppressor

Lethal: Combat Axe

Wildcard 1: Perk 1 Greed

Wildcard 2: Perk 3 Greed

Perk 1: Lightweight or Ghost

Perk 2: Cold Blooded

Perk 3: Extreme Conditioning or Dead Silence

Scorestreaks: UAV, Hunter Killer, Counter-UAV

As the name suggests, this class will make you a mouse scurrying around the map. The equipment and weapons are focused on mobility and staying undetected.

Dead Silence and Extreme Conditioning will help you flank enemies easily, while the suppressor is off course a necessity in such a loadout. Depending on your gameplay style, you can go for Wildcards to get additional perks from both tiers (Extreme Conditioning and Dead Silence or Lightweight and Ghost).

Going Rambo

Primary Weapon: QBB LSW or LSAT

Primary Attachment: Adjustable Stock, Foregrip or Fast Mag

Lethal: Grenades

Tactical: Tactical Insertion

Perk 1: Lightweight

Perk 2: Toughness

Perk 3: Engineer

Scorestreaks: UAV, Lightning Strike, Sentry Gun

This class is for the trigger-happy fans. The primary attachment is a subject of debate here. As always, choose whichever defines your play style. The Adjustable stock will help you move around the map quicker; the Foregrip will boast more stability as LMGs have a good amount of recoil, finally the Fast Mag will ensure a faster reload

Map strategies

Cargo
There are cargo crates in the centre, and it's about owning either side of that battle space. Once you hold that down, you can have some map control and not have anyone come through the middle of your path. A good tactic: there are two buildings on either side, and getting up on the crates gives you really good viewing angles.

Carrier
Big, flat and full of cover this is a deceptive map to master. One minute you can be moving between the shelter of planes, crates and other equipment, the next you canaccidentallyblunder into afiringline almost clean across the map. Patient snipers with quick reactions will find plenty to do here while those favoring close to mediumassaultwill make a killing bursting around corners or belting through the narrow corridors inside. Finally, what little height there is can be as much a danger as it is and advantage due to the exposure.

Drone
This is a wide area with many levels. There are also a number of climbableledges meaning the stairs arent the only place to watch for ascents and windows can be easily breeched by the quick and the agile. The large central building is best treated as an outside area with a roof as its cavernous space is hard to police but handy when air attacks are called in. If ever there was a place for a hybrid scope, this is it.

Meltdown
This is a largish environment with a lot of height variation, clutter and openings making it a painful map for all skill levels. While a lot of the action focuses on the raised platform towards the middle, the best tactic for most will to be find whatever area works best for you and master the hell out of it. If that does happen to be the middle bit then best of luck to you.

Plaza
One important thing to note here are a number of open or glass roofs leaving you exposed to air attacks, especially from things like Dragonfire UAVs. Thats the only real height advantage here too. Instead, this is all about fast room-to-room fighting. The map is also about 90% cornersso dont bother with muchrangedgear.

Hijacked
Hijack is a fight on a luxury yacht. It's like a two-lane map, with very intense close-quarter combat. Use shotguns and SMGs at close range, and make sure you're doing something like taking extended mags - there's always somebody coming out, and you don't want to run out of bullets in the middle of that fire fight.

Overflow
This is a really great map for Search and Destroy. It's actually my favourite Search and Destroy map in the game - but it obviously plays well in loads of game modes. This is a really classic-style Call of Duty map: three paths, one down the left, centre and right. What's important here is that you do not let yourself get flanked.

Turbine
This is a large open map thateffectivelyruns on two levels thanks to the canyon slicing through the middle. At either level there are narrow passages meaning its possible to blunder into enemies if youre not careful at corners. There are also a couple of small buildings that can provide an invaluable advantage if you can take and hold them. Using the canyon is risky exposing you to plenty of overhead attackopportunities- but it can get youaroundand behindopponents. Especially if you use the ruptured pipe for cover.

Aftermath
Welcome to LA, post-drone attack. The best way to master this map is to take advantage of the broken and mangledscenery. The rubble and collapsed building materials provideplentyof places to hide and broken outlines to peek out from. Essentially your best tactic is to find somewhere off the beaten path with a good view of a busy area and wait for people to wander into your sights.

Raid
Be prepared to mix up your approach here depending on how the fight progresses. The mix ofopenness, length and corners means this map varies depending on where the fight breaks out and the weapons involved. If youre not sure then mix up your loadouts but be prepared to change everything if the opposition start switching up their tactics. If in doubt mix up long and short ranges and forget the middle ground entierly.

Slums
One of the few maps to really focus on medium-range combat. Its street-based urban fighting but with larger streets and more space. Its another map that feels like classic old school COD shaped by the players rather than the geography. The smaller buildings round the edges do however provide handy ambush bases if you can cover their multiple entry pointseffectively.

Standoff
A small but open map here with lots of side streets. The thing to really watch, though, are all the second floor windows. Ripe for snipers on the inside and well placed grenades on the outside. Its also worth paying attention to some of the alleys around the outside as they can be invaluable for getting around opponents who think theyve got a street pinned down.

Yemen
This is a classic slice of COD urban warfare. There are lots of narrow streets and tight corners that mean you can find yourself in trouble fast if you dont look where youre going. The doorways, alleys and a small market mean you need your head on a swivel to monitor every threat. There are also some varying elevations to both monitor and abuse.

Express
This is a train station in the heart of 2025 Los Angeles. What makes it interesting is that it's symmetrical. It's like playing on a football field: one side of the map is almost the same as the other. It's the first time we've ever made anything so symmetrical inspired by our e-sports community. The place actually just looks beautiful.

Play as support
The new support score streaks mean it's possible to rack up points without having to kill people. Can't conceive how that would work in CoD? Vonderhaar has you covered: Put the UAV score streak in the first slot available to you. That will instantly help your team and give you a score. From there, step up to the Guardian [turret]. That allows you to do crowd control, and suppress the enemy.

I like to use the LMG, which allows me to do lot of sustained gunfire before I have to reload. Basically, suppress the enemy and keep them from penetrating your side of the battle space. I often take smoke or shock charges, or the Tactician wildcard.

Make the most of team play
The new 3v3v3 battles require a novel approach. Get a combo team - not everybody's rocking the same style, right? Get two guys out in front, as well as shotguns, rushing devices, SMGs and shotguns. But keep your LMG support fire or your snipers in the back. Make a play book, work together and have someone check your backside. Map control is everything in multi-team. Find an area of the maps and say, "this belongs to us, let no man near it." That's how you can get some really great multi-team play, and how you can be successful.

Use the new Points system
Perks have been replaced by points, which you spend to customise your character." I recommend that you go over the top of what the typical play style is." says Vonderhaar. If you're an SMG guy and you like to run and gun, amp that all the way up - take extreme conditioning, take lightweight, take fast firing mechanics, take being able to flip your clip over with fast mags. You'll be able to use maybe five or six of your allocation points to double down what you'd normally like to do.

Before going head first into multiplayer
Why not set up a private match or try combat training. Bootcamp (available in combat training) will allow you to level up to rank 10 without affecting your K/D or win/lose ratio. This way, while you get used to the maps, you can also unlock some new armaments ready for when youre ready to take the fight online properly. Whichever route you decide it is advisable to familiarise yourself with each map to learn their layout, find alternate routes through them, work out the best choke points and enjoy what the maps have to offer without someone filling you full of lead.

Stick to the edge of the map
This is a great way to get a feel for how a game can play out. You can easily see where people are taking up positions and avoid being shot at from all angles. Dont be the baby buffalo roaming across the plains while the hunters take aim with glee! Stalk the edge and once you have played a few games you will soon learn where the high traffic areas are and which points you can score easy kills.

Use the skulls
While in the early days of a game UAVs will be prevalent, in a few days time the higher score streaks will be in vogue and the unlimited UAVs far less fashionable. Look for the large skulls that pop up in the distance, theyll pin point where a teammate has died and give you a good idea where the enemy team are.

Watch and learn
Continually dying from an enemy thats entrenched (or camped out as some like to call it) somewhere on the map? Is there an enemy held up in an advantageous spot but you just cant figure out where they are? Then watch the kill cam, learn his position and when you get the chance get there yourself and return the favour with a good knife in the back.

Sensitivity can help you
A player that uses a sensitivity of 14 (10 in all other CoDs) can turn faster, get on target quicker and generally move more freely than players using the default setting. Slowly up the sensitivity, once a day should do it until youre comfortable with the higher settings. Once you hit the maximum 14 youll be turning on players and dropping them like a pro. Be careful not to up it too far at once or youll have a rude awakening rather than an enlightening.

Stick with your team
At the very least they might take a few bullets for you, besides two soldiers are better than one run into a team on your own and you best turn and head for the hills. Once a team really gets into the swing of things youll sweep across the map mowing down all and sundry!

Learn from your mistakes
If you find yourself constantly getting killed by one specific gun or everyone is using a certain weapon then chances are thats the gun you want. Ok so there may be people who will moan about a gun being overpowered but heck, if its the best one to use then why handicap yourself for the sake of a moaner? The same is applicable to perks; the perks an enemy is using will flash up on your screen in the kill cam.

Play smart
Be a team player and play the objective. It may sound silly but there are far too many gamers that would rather get kills than capture a point or plant a bomb. On many occasions Ive been on the losing team even though collectively as a team weve had the higher kill count. Black Ops 2 rewards you handsomely for being an objective player, far more so than any other Call of Duty.

How to prestige your weapon
Once you've reached maxed level you go to Create a Class then click on your weapon that's maxed level after that you press Y on your weapon and it should give you the option to weapon prestige. It starts you back at level 1 and you lose all your attachments but not your camos.

The only things you get from weapon prestiges are clan-tag which you get at weapon prestige one and the second one which you unlock emblem on your weapon is unlocked at weapon prestige two also every time you prestige a gun you get a small level xp bonus.

Prestiges and prestiging
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Above you see prestige 1 all they way to presitge 10. Upon reaching level 55 of prestige 10, a new prestige icon will be unlocked which is the very last one which is called the master prestige emblem.

There are 55 levels per Prestige, with 10 Prestiges, similar to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. However, Prestiging no longer resets weapon experience or unlocks, it no longer wipes challenge progress and instead is intended to be another step in progression.

When a player Prestiges, they earn a Prestige Unlock Token that unlocks an item forever, similar to using a Prestige Token for unlocking Gear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. There are also three options they must select from:

Unlock an extra Custom Class, with a maximum of 5 extra
Completely reset stats to "truly start over"
Receive a "Refund" of all used regular tokens

"It's like respecting or re-rolling your character in Call of Duty," said David Vonderhaar, explaining how the 'Refund' system will work. If you decide to take a different path with your unlock tokens, the refund option will lock all content, return all of your tokens, and allow you to carve a new path.

League Play

Above are the League Play emblems

For teams of competitive Call of Duty players, or lone rangers looking for some stiff competition, Black Ops 2s League Play is the ultimate battlefield, giving players the opportunity to duke it out with opponents of a relatively equal skill level and not just stomp on people in public matches. But how do Black Ops 2s leagues, divisions, seasons and ladder points work? Here is an explanation:

What are Leagues?
League Play allows you to compete in monthly skill-based ladders. Compete solo or as a team to see how you match up with Call of Duty players around the world.

Divisions
Your performance in a seasons placement matches will determine which division you or your team is placed in. There are a total of six divisions, with each division resetting at the start of each season. Each division is broken up into subdivisions of 250 players. These players in your subdivision will be whom you directly compete with.

Seasons
League Play is broken up into seasons, each lasting approximately thirty calendar days. At the end of a season, there will be a brief window of time before the next season starts. This period of time is known as preseason. During preseason, we are finalizing results of the previous season as well adjusting the game rules and map rotations as necessary. You can play and practice during preseason, but these games won\t count for league ladders. The current season and how much time remains in it will be displayed to you in-game.

Ladder Points
Your ranking is determined by Ladder Points that can be earned or lost by playing games. Your team will start at zero rank points at the season start. Wins will earn you points, were as loses will lose you points. The points earned are determined by the predicted outcome of the game. For example, if you beat a team that is ranked higher than yours you will get more ladder points than if you beat a lower ranked team.

How to level up fast in multiplayer
With COD Black OPS 2, the leveling process is much like that of the previous franchises Call of Duty games. You level from getting kills, objectives, kill streaks, and challenges. Obviously the best way to level will be to just play the game, but the better you are, and the more kills you get, basically boils down to how fast you will level. You can confirm this by just playing with a few friends who are much better than you. If you really want to know the best modes for leveling the most efficiently, here they are.

Kill Confirmed This mode is great, fast paced, and you get more points for grabbing the dog tags and the denied kill dog tags. This adds up fast and IMO is the best mode for leveling fast in black ops 2.

If you are good, and consistent, search and destroy can grant a lot of XP, but you HAVE to get kills or you are better off basically playing any game mode.

Ground War I like ground war a lot, but it fits my play style and most games I get atleast 15 or 20 kills so the XP comes in pretty fast, and in turn helps me get challenges done faster.

All in all, to level fast, play what you are good at, and stop reading so much and just play the game man! Game after game after game after game!! Enjoy and have fun with the game and the levels will come, and if you want to beat your friends, then just stay up later than they do.

How to get diamond camo on your weapons
For this you will need to unlock the gold camo for every single weapon on the weapon set you want to get diamond on. For example if I wanted to get my Sniper Rifles diamond I would have to unlock gold camo on every single Sniper Rifle in order to get diamond.

Nice thread mate, I notice you only have four maps. You should update the post with all of them for the strategies.

Although, I have really only played 4 maps through this prestige.

Needs some work in order to become a sticky. Sort things out, and actually write some of it yourself. Copying and pasting doesn't make it good. Work on it.
