Hi, I have just bought a Alienware x51 with i5 and windows 8. I have steam pre installed on it so I know that is not my problem. I got the demo for amnesia and that runs perfect, so I then bought Garry's Mod. It keeps freezing in the game and I have tried uninstalling it and that still doesn't do anything so I would like to know what the problem is. Is it windows 8?

No, the problem is you bought an alienware.

Make sure your computer meets the requirements of the demo.
Try other games on the computer to make sure its not your computer, just the demo.

Alienware computers aren't that bad. And thanks for the help I mean I guess that was the most obvious thing to do but it helps
